An extra tier? 👀

I’ve changed my response after thinking more and reviewing some things. I would certainly upgrade to such a tier, at least for a while, if I got the chance.

The idea is interesting (with requestor limits as you’ve said). I am already over the monthly Patreon subs limit that I originally set, so I don’t think I could commit to a higher tier long term even if I am interested. That being said, I can definitely think of a few things I’d probably like to request and could move up to the tier for a month every now and then, but I’d bet people that join the tier would want to hold onto their spots for a while.

It's an interesting idea... I'm not sure I'd move up into the Galaxy tier if it got implemented (even though I'm already paying enough to), because 20 mins is already quite generous, and if I took one of the limited Galaxy tier slots I'd feel obligated to try to align an hour's worth of suggestions each time so that I'm not wasting an opportunity for someone else. Plus I think it might be better just to have the Sun tier (limiting the number of Suns to a manageable amount), so more people get to share their choices. Although I get that having the Galaxy tier might actually lessen your workload without having to turn away Suns so that you make more. Maybe raise the Galaxy tier's price? Since you'll be limiting the amount anyway it might be better to do so by raising the price instead of reaching capacity and having to turn people away (plus you'll earn more).

I think it's a good idea, but I worry about you and how much down time you would have if this got implemented...

Thanks so much Jess! Robert said perfectly that a limit of about 5 might be really good 👀 otherwise I could also look into just upping the Sun tier to 30 minutes instead as well. We’ll see how we go! ❤️

I’ll be honest, it’s a nice idea. I just worry bc there’s only so much time in the day balancing between work, home life, yt and patreon. And most importantly time for yourself. I don’t want you to overwhelm yourself that’s all. But I’m reading through your comments and I understand completely. Thanks for pitching the idea!

That’s it man, I totally get you! I didn’t have the time before work to go into too much detail and it’s just an idea at this point, but I’d limit the amount of Suns and Galaxy tiers as well! There’s a lot to flesh out but I’d love to just get thoughts at this stage ❤️

I encourage you to start with less than 5 of these, because that's a lot of additional production time. I'm also trying to hook you into some shows that have 2 hour episodes, but I suppose I could just do the first hour. It's a good idea to experiment with, anyway.

With the increasing number of "Suns" and now this I just hope that it doesn't become like you only have the time to watch what other people are telling you to watch and not what YOU want to watch. That's all.
