i also never liked this episode even as a kid. Growing up i was a HUGE Britney Spears fan and I still am. It’s especially awful cause Dan Schneider knew the Spears family consider Jamie Lynn Spears was the star of one of his shows

I watched season 2 and 3 of Riverdale and I still Continued with season 4 and part of season 5! Let’s just say 1 not so good episode of iCarly is not going to bring me down! Don’t worry about it 😁

i still really enjoyed this episode bcuz a lot of the jokes are mainly for kids/teens, especially kids who will definitely die laughing at a lot of it. im pretty sure watching this as a kid i was probably hobbled over laughing in my room lmao and even today at 19 i still find a lot of the jokes funny but it’s hard not to see the problematics as i’ve grown up. but again i know it’s meant to be aimed at kids so it doesn’t bother me that much and i still found it funny. also the whole “trashy pop star” plot line has been done in tons of shows so i didn’t take it too seriously bcuz it’s obvious that’s what they were aiming for here but at the time of it coming out it does seem like they’re making fun of britney in a way. the thing about these “kids/teens” shows in my opinion is that to never take it too seriously unless u definitely have to or if the show at least wants u to. like there’s certain subjects in a bunch of these kids/teens shows from either disney or nick (& so on) that the show wants u take seriously & u definitely should but then there’s the stuff that happens that they clearly want u to laugh at, and the kids 100% do. so idk i always keep that in mind.
