| PART 1 | & | PART 2 |

Hey guys! I’m sorry for the crappy thumbnail - I’ll edit this when I get home! I’m just finishing work now but it turns out that Part 2 finally uploaded!

I absolutely love this show so much. The stages are incredible, and the performances in this episode were crazy. IDLE absolutely ROCKED the stage, and I absolutely loved Oh My Girl and AOA’s performances! I felt really bad for Lovelyz, but rooting for them in the next one!

I’m really enjoying Oh My Girl’s music as well, so I’m so excited to check out more of their stuff! 🤩

Let me know below what you guys thought of the stages as well! Of course keep it respectful because I’m sure we’re all watching because of different artists, but I personally felt like all of them did incredibly ❤️

Thanks so much as always for tuning in y’all, I’ll see you in the next episode! 🤩

QUEENDOM Season 1 Episode 2 Reaction! | HYOJUNG NOOO 🥺

Comments

i'm late but i just want to give my own rangkings too 😂 1. mamamoo - (because i really love decalcomanie and i'm always happy when they always hype the crowd and the crowd can sing along) 2. gidle - ( i like the new ver. of latata and a bit creepy of the sound. soyeon is really genius) 3. AOA - (aoa really suits the sexy concept and i like the song but the dance break is really long ) 4. lovelyz - (i like that they tried to change a bit the beat of the song) 5. bom - (its a nice song. i remember the old kpop days too. i think her voice is unstable. her best performance for me is when she cover gidle's han) 6. ohmygirl - (the song is nice too but it feels like a normal music show performance) thank you. this is only my personal choice tho 😅

Here's my ranking : 1. AOA 2. Lovelyz 3. OH MY GIRL 4. (G)-IDLE 5. MAMAMOO 6. Park Bom Bom has really lost her voice. She's sweet, but she never really sounded good on the show...Decalcomanie is MAMAMOO's worst single imo. It sounds like an old country song from the 90's and I don't think they were particularly good. They looked like a band more than a K-Pop group tbh ahah. IDLE's audio track felt low-quality, and I don't think the added bits fitted with the song, at all. And you could clearly hear that they were not even singing live most of the time...OMG's stage was too simple, but they all performed well...but it did feel like I was watching them on M Countdown or something. I don't like Ah-Choo, but Lovelyz made me want to watch their performance again. I liked the tweaks they did ! I felt like they should not have ranked below the 4th position...And AOA had the perfect stage, really. Nothing more to say, apart from the fact that ranking 4th overall feels really wrong. Definitely the worst round of performances on the show though. They all get WAYYY better. I do feel like Lovelyz never choose the right song to perform though, and that's a real shame.

Thank you always for your comments my man - sorry I got to this a little late!

Thanks for your input my man ❤️

This was such an incredibly well thought out and awesome comment Robert. Thank you so much for sharing this!

My ranking for these performances 1. AOA (Their performance stunned me, I was shooketh, also Seolhyuns visuels omg) 2 Gidle (Loved the creepy theme, Soyeons brain!!) 3 Mamamoo (Loved the props and performance but it didnt amaze me for some reason) 4 Lovelyz (I like that they tried to change the concept and song a little but stage was lacking) 5 Park Bom (She is at a huge disadvantage being a soloist here but the added choir made it better) 6 Oh My Girl (Their stage just seemed like a comeback live stage) Sadly this show doesnt matter too much on who performs the best its pretty much a popularity thing which you end up realising more each round. Still fun doing your own rankings of the performances

YES man! I can't wait for the episode coming in a couple of days! 🤩🤩🤩

HAHA YES

The episode where people finally started to realize that Hyejeong is a comedy genious

I'm still going to hold back most of my opinions, because this show is filled with surprising moments that challenged my perceptions of all of these groups. I ended up thinking differently of ALL of them after Queendom. This show purposely stretches their performance abilities, and you are just seeing the beginnings of it. I'll comment on one thing, though. I'm glad you are going to lay the AOA/Jimin controversy aside. I've been involved in the entertainment industry (musician, then live audio engineer/tour manager, and now entertainment law attorney) for over 25 years. I give people in that industry a lot of slack, and I am slow to criticize, because I know how difficult and destructive it is. Korean entertainment professionals are no different, and the Kpop industry is even more difficult in some ways. These groups literally grow up together starting as children and continue living together in highly stressful situations well into their careers. Even though Kpop gives us way more access to these people compared to western music standards, we only see 5% maximum of their lives. We don't really know as much about them as we think. We don't really know what happened within AOA. When I look at AOA on Queendom, I see five extremely tough, competitive, entertainment professionals who have seen virtually every dynamic the Kpop industry could throw at them. They've been promoted as a band playing instruments, as sex objects, had to diet to fit into those miniskirts constantly, and they still had to act cute on command. I can't imagine how hard and tough these women had to be to mentally survive all that. Jimin probably didn't handle it as well as she could, but these group leaders have to learn on the fly. When I see her eyes on Queendom, particularly when she is watching other performances, she looks in survival mode to me. I'm not asking anyone to feel sorry for Jimin or AOA. But take advantage of AOA's participation in Queendom, because they allow you to see a different experience in the Kpop industry for women.

Such a good time. Really going to be into this next episode coming up as well. It just keeps getting better and better. While I think OMG was the weakest "performance" of this round, I'm glad they started the way they did. Much like we talk about in PD48. sometimes it just takes getting knocked down a bit to bring out the fire....

Personally for me it was just slightly different to the rankings 1)G idle- amazing all round 2)Aoa - Thought they really shined without Choa which I didn’t exactly expect. And in terms of the incident, I still support and am a fan of the other members who had no part in the scandal. 3)Oh My Girl- solid but nothing special this performance in particular as I knew they could do better. 4)Mamamoo - They were okay but they didn’t do anything different than what they usually do, just very predictable, I’m not a huge fan of them in general so maybe my bias is clouding my judgement but it didn’t do anything for me 5)Park Bom- Her voice unfortunately and which pains me to say just isn’t the same as it used to be and you can tell 6)Lovelyz-as a fan of lovelyz the song and concept just didn’t fit at all.

God this show was amazing, even after i've watched every performances multiple times. The first round was Clearly lead by (G)I-dle that gave their everything : Insane intro, Powerful remix, multiple dance break and a whole new concept. Most of the after show interviews we got from the other groups told us that they were all waken up by Idle insane performance. And it's gonna show in next episode and in the rest of the season ... Eveything is gonna level-up like crazy ! Can't wait for Ep3 ... where my favorite performance of all time (and i'm probably not the only one) is.

Theysandor

So my personal ranking for the First Round is: 1 (G)I-dle (really rocked the stage) 2 Mamamoo (good not great) 3 AOA (hot! Hot!! Hot!!!) 4 Oh My Girl (didn’t show anything special, like they were afraid to go out of the box and the misuse of the ribbons) 5 Park Bom (Bom is Bom just plain and simple) 6 Lovelyz (mishit, wrong concept for song and ditto costumes)
