| PART 2 |

Hey guys, Queendom Episode 3 is finally up! I’m sorry this has taken a while - I’m currently in the middle of changing my ISP (internet service provider) because the current speeds and connectivity issues I face just aren’t workable. I’m sorry the uploads have been a little too staggered! 🥺❤️

But anyway I am vibing out to these cover stages so damn hard and I absolutely love the idea of it!

Which ones have you guys enjoyed most out of these 3 so far?! I’m still struggling between Mamamoo and AOA but watching it a few more times I really have to say I enjoyed Cheetah’s cameo in Bom’s performance!

Hope you enjoyed this one today guys! Big love to you all! ❤️

QUEENDOM Episode 3 Reaction! | THE COVER STAGES BEGIN

Comments

1. MAMAMOO 2. AOA 3. BOM

Jana

In my opinion, MAMAMOO's stage was really chaotic and all over the place. Their vocals are always on point, but I don't think their stages are particularly enjoyable for some reason. AOA's, on the other hand...*chef's kiss*. And...the only good part in Bom's performance was Cheetah. Bom just doesn't sound good enough, particularly when you compare her with the other groups.

When Solar slips during the performance, everyone was like "I hope she's ok!" My first thought was "My God she even shouts in shock in key!" LOL

I feel a bit sad from Episode 3 til the rest of the Queendom episodes (except the final episode) because of Wheein's absence. She was on a health break from all MMM activities and only participated in the live stages of Queendom. That's why you won't be seeing her on the non-performance parts of the show. She suffered high levels of anxiety during this time period, to the point of being taken to the hospital and missing her flight to US for KCON. Even so, it doesn't show on her performances. Much respect for Wheein & the rest of the amazing artists here for putting on amazing shows despite their personal/physical conditions.

For me it goes: 1) AOA 2) MAMAMOO 3) Park Bom MAMAMOO did amazing and it was a super enjoyable performance, but it almost felt like too chaotic to me for a cover stage, which I why I put them behind AOA. While you could also say that AOA didn't change enough, or leaned on the dancers, I personally felt like just AOA's different vocal style and choreography were enough to set it apart from the original, and to me just seeing even some of AOA even after everything that happened perform kind of felt magical or too good to be true. (Which we sadly now know it actually was) As far as Bom and Cheetah go, I really enjoyed it, but I feel like Bom's inclusion in this show (as a soloist) still feels weird and out of place, when the whole point is to "crown the best girl GROUP." It kind of feels like having Michael Jordan compete by himself in a tournament to find the best basketball team: sure he's undeniably incredible, but he's just one person in a team sport. That said, there are no bad performances on Queendom, and it doesn't really matter to me who won, but I still wish they had invited a 6th group instead of Bom.

For this episode I think mamamoo is 1st, this was my fav performance by them on the whole show. For AOA i prefered their first performance for miniskirt more so for me they are 2nd. Bom did better here then in her first stage but sadly its not very fair putting her against groups. I remember before I even watched this show AOA's stage was all over my instagram feed tho😂

so far mamamoo for fist, i just think their execution and presence they really did it all. i felt disappointed by aoa because they didnt change things up too much imo, i think in that regard bom did more to make the song her own, so i would persoanlly place bom above aoa.

I’ve come to absolutely love Park Bom and Cheetah’s version of Han, but I’m not going to lie. I was initially disappointed when CL or Minzy didn’t appear. But I suppose it would have been really hard to get a hold of them with them all scattered to different companies and going through their own struggles. I’m still waiting for the day of a Bom and CL collaboration. On another note, as usual people need to take better care of the stages and be more careful. Solar could have had a bad accident because the stage was slippery, but luckily she continued on like a champion and didn’t let it affect her performance. I agree that all the performances in this round were top tier, and some were really surprising to see people doing things differently and going with new concepts and fresh twists. Still, my favorite was Mamamoo. It takes a special group to do five completely different concepts in one song and bring it all together smoothly. I mean, they went from reggae to hip-hop to big band to sort of a classical sound and then rock! Who else could pull that off? They always manage to bring their personal flairs and flavors to everything they do. I really enjoyed your reaction as usual, watching this show with you is so much fun!

To answer the question, I think Mamamoo was far and away the winner of the 3 this episode. They put on the best show, vocal and performance. You kinda hit on it at the end of the AOA performance, -- in the end, I feel like the dancers made the stage.. not the girls. I didn't feel that blown away by AOA's actual performance, but was more excited/interested in the dancers themselves. As we discussed elsewhere, Bom is just at such a disadvantage and even with a Cheetah appearance, it's just not anywhere near the level of the other performances for me.

Why AOA was ICONIC. Watch this video from DKDKTV from 20:01. This will explain why Egotistic by AOA was so ICONIC. https://youtu.be/v_4CI0luIaE So after this episode it's 1.AOA most ICONIC stage of the Queendom series. 2.Mamamoo 4 mini concert stages really good. 3.Park Bom good effort, but Cheetah was a bit disappointing. I'm used to more from Cheetah. And now 1 week waiting. 😭😫
