The Terminator (1984) MOVIE REACTION

Comments

Haven't watched your T2 reaction yet, so your questions may have been answered, but how could they fall in love so quickly? Kyle had fallen in love with Sarah through the years of stories from John about her while staring at the picture. She was inspirational to him. From her point of view, this guy saved her life multiple times. Hey, if a hot person saved my life ONCE, I'd totally be in love. 😉 And yeah, like was said in another series, "You both have shared trauma...the good shit." It bonds people very quickly. People who go through trauma together have a fast bond, that IS true. By the way, it's easy to "fall in love" with someone, doesn't mean if Kyle had lived, they'd have a Happily Ever After. It's not at all a stretch to think that for that moment, they got really close & I would think it'd be weird if you or anyone was in a similar situation with a hot woman whom you both thought you could probably die & didn't want to have sex. 😁 The time travel stuff is explained more in the second movie, but they did say a couple of times here that the future is not set. Kyle was trying to keep it going in the way where the humans succeed in the end, but it wasn't always gonna happen. He could've failed & his timeline would've disappeared. The fact that Sarah got to the point where she got the picture of her means it's on track to work out to the end future that Kyle talked about.

Final comment: I remember when first watching it back in the 80's that my parents were talking to each other and actually mentioning how it wasn't common (back then) that in the end the woman defeats the bad guy and saves herself.

Oh, and did you notice Bill "Agent John Garrett" Paxton with the spiky blue punk rock hair?

"Oh! Robots! I get it." - Juli Alphonse Mackenzie (JuliMack). Yeah, I could see Director Mackenzie's sister saying that. If you were, you'd get to be Yo-Yo's kinda-sorta sister-in-law.

"This is an old movie. It was made before I was born." Congratulations, you have just made me feel really old. ROFL.

Judgement Day is the best! Such a classic movie

Carine Allen

Looking forward to watching your reaction to this, Juli. Also super excited for Zombieland and Star Wars. Terminator 2: Judgement Day is 1000000 times better than this one; a classic. I hope you get to watch it one day.
