Jared Harris makes for an exceptional Moriarty! I like this more than the first film because of it, and how well Downey and Harris play off each other. Moriarty is one of the greatest arch villains in literary history.

2019-09-08 07:03:06 +0000 UTCI love this movie! I love the first Sherlock Holmes movie, but this one was even better and so exciting. I love that this movie focused on the best of the Sherlock Holmes stories... The Reichenbach Fall. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law were phenomenal once again. I absolutely love their friendship and just how they interact with one another. Both actor play off of one another so well. I also really like Madame Simza as an added character for this film because we're meant to believe that Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams) was killed by Moriarty. As for Moriarty... yes, Jared Harris played him perfectly as well and I really enjoyed seeing him play the mastermind and Sherlock Holmes' number one nemesis. I also really enjoy Mycroft Holmes as well. He was fun and very laidback just as you said. And I too loved how he and Sherlock for the most part got along so much more than the brothers do in the British series, Sherlock. And lastly... I really enjoy once again the cinematography of this movie like I loved in the last one. I loved how the action scenes were slowed down at the right moments so we can really see what was happening, and I loved the movements. I also continued to love how we see Sherlock, Watson, and Moriarty plan out what they're going to do next in their minds, then act on it as well. Thank you so much, Juli! I had so much fun watching this movie with you. It was so much fun. And yes... there will be a third Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law once again. I don't believe they have begun filming it yet, but it will come out eventually, and I can't wait!!! Thank you! Until next time...
