Thank you for reacting to this amazing show and I am glad you enjoyed it.
This show was created by JJ Abrams and he also produced it and wrote for the show. He also created produced and wrote for both Lost and Fringe. And yes the number 47 has a significance in Alias as well.
Just to explain SD6 is a branch of a bigger organization called The Alliance or The Alliance of 12 and they have 12 branch’s around the world. Sydney thought she was fighting the Alliance when she joined SD6 but now obviously she knows she is working for the enemy she thought she was fighting against. This show has so many great plot twists and story telling of any show I have seen , it’s for sure one of my all time favorite shows.
The device Sydney stole from China is called the Muller Device and it has a significance which will be revealed at some point.
Also Jennifer Garner said that she did her own stuns on Alias , so in the fight scenes it’s actually her doing the fight choreography.

I'm so excited that you're watching, at least through the first season of this amazing show. It's really, really good. And Jack Bristow (Sydney's father played by Victor Garber) is incredible in Alias. He's my overall favorite character, because he's by far the most intriguing character throughout this show. I also love Michael Vaughn (Sydney's new handler at the CIA played by Michael Vartan). Thank you so much! I look forward to many more exciting reactions for this show from you! :)
