I really enjoyed your reaction to this episode, but in terms of Oliver overreacting to Lance working with Darhk I do think he didn't fully think of what a parent would do for their child, but also all of the crap that Lance has put Oliver thru he has hunted him, ridiculed him and been so hurtful towards him and always held himself as better than Oliver, he even called Oliver a monster....so for Lance the one person who Oliver believed in most because he was the incorruptible purest of heart person he knows, to have betrayed everything he believes in and not tell the team about Darhk in the first place I think that him home with Oliver really hard. Oliver has taken all of the beatings that Lance has thrown his way because he was always the one holding the high ground, but now it's Oliver who holds the high ground and he was just bringing Lance to task, same as Lance would do for him. I think this scene is one of the best scripted and acted of the entire series. Both had points and that tension has been festering for years. To see Oliver coming at Lance as a man, as himself and not the Green Arrow persona is really huge. Oliver doesn't get mad or raise his voice often as Oliver, he does that as the Arrow/Green Arrow, so this scene really hit home for me and put the importance of Lance and Oliver's relationship back in the spotlight because just as Oliver said he only really wants Lance to see who he really is and to see that he is a good man. Lance is the only good father figure for Oliver, so Oliver needed that moment of laying all the cards in the table and Lance just needed someone to call him on his bullshiiit. Sorry for the long rant, rhus scene just made me so super emotional and totally on Oliver's side. I mean I'm usually 100% on Oliver's side, even if I don't agrer with his tact but this time I was so happy that he just laid in Lance like Lance would have done to him....I mean he did do it to Oliver when he arrested him, hit him while he was shackled and called him a villain...if anything Oliver went easy on Lance!
