Yeah, Alyssa definitely is a "love to hate her"-character :D She's an entertaining character but as a person she's just horrible.

I agree that its not to the same degree as Delena and Stelena on TVD , but i feel that is because of how young and inexperienced they are. Plus, the romantic relationships on TVD was the main focus for many seasons so i feel they dedicated more time to developing relationships where as with legacies the romantic relationships are not the main focus.
