Juli you hit the head on the nail. Alaric low key hates supernatural beings. He made that school as a safe haven for his kids. Not cuz he had some overwhelming compassion for the supernatural beings. He shouldn’t be the headmaster alone. Also. Jade is Fine😩🤤

I wrote that because the thing that they both did, was the same thing and when I wrote that about I dind't think they are the same, I meant the character and the circumstances, but my opinion that the action was the same, remain . And I don’t want to argue, I just gave my opinion about something that Juli comment on the reaction and another thing that happen on the show ... Just that, nothing more. Because if Juli be a Delena shipper were bothering me, I certainly not be here on Patreon right now ...

“Damon did the exactly same thing with Elena in season 2 of TVD” you did say they were the same. If it’s not what you meant, I suggest editing it so people don’t get the wrong idea about what you meant to say.

Damon/Elena and Sebastian/Lizzie compassions:
There’s a huge difference in those two situations.
Damon knew Elena was walking to her death under an unconfirmed assumption that some position would bring her back.
But he also immediately regretted it and went out of his way to make up for it.
He took full responsibility for his actions and said he was sorry for what he did and that he knew what he did to her was wrong.
Damon did not:
Sneak blood into her drink.
Mention she didn’t actually have a choice in living forever with him.
Expect her to be okay with what he did.
Chase her down saying he had to make this choice for her.
Call her by the wrong name during his love confession afterwards.
Both people were wrong for what they did but they weren’t the same situation.
Don’t compare them by saying, “Oh you ship Delena but then this made you mad?” just because you don’t agree with her on either one of those two opinions.

I didn't think they are the same, but the fact that Elena was going to her death, not allow or is a excuse for Damon's behavior. Elena choose to die, at least, she prefeared to die a became a vampire. Became a vampire was not a choice for her at that moment, so Damon disrespect her choice and made another for her

Not really the same thing.
Yes they both gave the girl vampire blood without consent but everything else isn't the same.
Elena was going to go through something that would 100% result in her death.
Klaus' ritual would 100% result in her death.
Elijah had a potion but Damon did not feel confident in it so he forced her to drink his blood. This way she would "survive" the ritual for sure.
What Damon did was still wrong, but it's not the same.
Sebastian is delusional/paranoid and slipped his blood into her drink. The deception here rubs me a different way than the Delena scene. He did it so they could be together and she wouldn't age/die not because she was in imminent danger. And just the way he talks when he says he spiked her drink etc. Queue him calling her Casandra.
It truly looked like Sebastian would snap her neck to kill her so that she would turn.
Rewatching it it does seem like they're trying to say/point out how bad what Damon did was in a way people will find unacceptable by Sebastian, with the whole 'im doing this because I love you' line, but context matters. Again in Damon's case she was about to walk to her death and they had a potion that didn't seem certain, gave her blood obviously (from his wrist, not concealed in a drink), felt guilty about it after/apologized.
Sebastian snuck it into her drink, telling her she had no choice in the matter (really sounding like he was about to snap her neck imo) in a weirdly calm and coocoo way, acting delusional and calling her Casandra so that she would stay there with him and not grow old.
Then there's the stuff from past episodes like something in a book Alaric was reading about a massacre or something? Oh, Sebastian the Merciless I think. And the things he said in the episode where Ric sends him to the prison world.
Both may have given someone vampire blood against their will, but the situation was different and they are different people. Yes, people who like Damon will be more willing to forgive and people who don't like him will be predisposed to see anything he does as bad/unforgivable.
If person a and person b both took a life - are they the same?
Person A did so deliberately. They planned it out and took great pleasure in it.
Person B did so on accident - or, person B defends themself against a murderer and in doing so accidentaly causes their death - and suffers greatly from guilt.
Are they the same? No.

I don't know if you noticed yet but the sound when they siphon things is bonnie's scream. It didn't have a 'voice' before and it sounded like it does now when Kai siphoned bonnie, hurting her.

I'm sorry but I completely disagree with the Alaric opinions. He had every right to do what he did, it was justified, they just killed 5 teenagers, and showed absoulutely no remorse, if they showed regret then yes maybe he would be the bad guy, but they literally acted as if they didn't care. Then the same Sebastian we were hating on Alaric for locking up is the same one that force fed Lizzie blood. The same Jade, Diego, and Wendy who he sent away all attempted to tortue both him AND Josie (yes I understand their anger towards Ric and I get they've felt all this trauma, but Josie didn't deserve it). If they had stayed in this school who knows what they would've done to the actual kids living there, and his duaghters. This is a show all about the morally questionable characters so why is Alaric any different, especially when it comes to the safety of hundreds of innocent teenagers and children.

Sure, most of all couples on the TVD universe are, somehow, toxic... But Damon did horrible things to people that he tell us that he love. One of that things, that mark me very much and I kinda lose some love for the character, was in season 7 when the show told us that he's grow up and became better, but he left Bonnie and Stefan because of a girl, because she is the only thing that really matters to him and make him want to do the right thing. The scene when Stefan begging for him to stay with him and be his big brother, break my heart and makes me cry a lot

Yeah, i mean, based of all that, none of the Ships would work today, Kol is 1000+, while Davina was not even 20 when they first met..

I kinda think that, somehow, Julie Plec want to show the fans that nowadays Delena wouldn't work and probably the audience wouldn't give Damon a "free pass" for all the shit that he did

Yeah, I believe this transformation was a form to show us that when a werewolf fully control his transformation on the full moon, he/she can be still "human". Like on The Originals, Hayley in season 2 kinda transform herself to show the pack that she still a wolf and also on season 1 of The Originals Davina force Klaus to transform

I'm fine with it, because I think that his character won't stick around.. in general I don't like this particular bending of the canon.

It make sense for him turning into a wolf-man, because like he said he have turned 1000 times, so eventually he found a way to stay wolf and human... also its a lot cheaper than doing the whole full VD/TO Wolf form..
