2020-03-21 21:48:17 +0000 UTCI agree - 3x15 and 3x16 are part 1 and 2 of this incredible storyline and they need to be watched together. I think 3x17 also fits there, but it's not as necessary. Maybe she'll need a moment to breathe after 3x16 tbh.

I wouldn't use the word toxic, but I feel like a lot of lifechanging pain came from that relationship for Brooke. Sure, Lucas tried to make up for it and as time went by they could be friends and even explore their relationship again, but they would never be able to fulfill each other the way Nathan and Haley do, not just because the trust was broken between them but also because they want vastly different things from a relationship. Lucas is very introverted and tries to deal with things on his own and Brooke needs someone who will be open and real and honest. I feel like as much as they try, they will never fit with each other in a way that makes a long-term relationship possible. This becomes especially apparent when you see Nathan and Haley reparing their relationship, working and maturing together as a unit with the same goal. They just fit together naturally. Their love is so strong and unbreakable, whereas the brucas relationship always feels like a fragile thing that is just waiting to crack and break again.

2020-03-21 12:13:30 +0000 UTCMost people like either Brucas or Leyton, but I loathe both couples. The reasons why I don't like Leyton would mean spoilers, so I'll leave that for later. As for Brucas, I always thought Brooke deserved better. Lucas never really put her first and treated her badly most of the time they were dating. Granted, Brooke made mistakes in this relationship as well, but I can't forgive Lucas for cheating on Brooke with her best friend. The pain they put her through and that betrayal stayed with her for so long and changed her. I don't blame her at all for struggling with trusting Lucas. Brucas is such a toxic relationship and I want so much more for Brooke. As my favourite character (along with Nathan and Haley) all I want is for Brooke to be truly happy. Something she isn't right now. At this point in the show the only couple I like, well love, is Naley. They give me all the feels and they're so precious and adorable. Juli, your thoughts about Nathan and Haley and their relationship is exactly how I feel, ahahaha. They're just.. they're THE couple. They truly are perfect for each other and I love how much they love each other.

2020-03-21 09:36:09 +0000 UTCI get that Brooke isn't a mind reader. However I challenge that in saying that I feel like Brooke knew how Peyton was with hiding her feelings. Also, I feel like Brooke still would've dated him because remember back to season 1 when she told both Nathan and Peyton that they were looking forward to each other being at the party at Dan's house? I think she did it back then because she knew the feelings were there between Lucas and Peyton from the beginning. Brooke's character matures a lot.. but in the beginning I do feel like she had a bit of selfishness. Although Peyton hides her feelings.. sometimes it's for the benefit of others. This is something that I feel Brooke didn't come around to doing until mid season 4 and into season 5 and the remainder of the series. This is all just my opinion.

2020-03-21 03:31:55 +0000 UTCThe one thing I don’t like about Peyton regarding the love triangle is the fact that she can’t tell Brooke she has feelings for Lucas BEFORE Brooke and Lucas date, it happened in s1 where Brooke asked Peyton if she liked Lucas, and again in s2 she asked Peyton if she had feelings for Lucas, both times she said no, so Brooke went along with dating him. Brooke isn’t a mind reader, how is she supposed to know that Peyton has feelings for Lucas if she doesn’t say anything? I’m sure Brooke wouldn’t date Lucas knowing that her best friend has feelings for him, yet Peyton keeps putting them in the same situation because she never talks about her feelings BEFORE Brooke falls in love, after that it’s no fault of brooke’s to be mad if she found out that Peyton had feelings for her boyfriend
