I loved watching this along with you. Audrey was an amazing actress and an even more amazing person in real life. When she wasn't acting she spent a lot of time volunteering and working for UNICEF all over the world. She's my favorite actress of that era and her films are some of my all time favorites.

Oh... and the costumes worn throughout this film are absolutely gorgeous!!! I especially love Audrey Hepburn's gown and hat she wears at the horse races. And her gown she wears for the ball is beautiful. Audrey Hepburn is known to be one of Hollywood's most beautiful classic actresses, and rightly so. Her costumes in this movie, even when she's dressed as a lowly flower girl covered in mud and filth, are sensational. I absolutely love them. :)

Yay!!! Thank you very much for your reaction to such a beautiful movie!! I really love this movie, and I too love Audrey Hepburn, as well as Rex Harrison who plays Professor Henry Higgins. And I enjoyed your reaction.
Audrey Hepburn is a very talented actress and she's one of my very favorites. And her role as Eliza Doolittle is beyond reproach. She's beautiful in this movie. Funny, witty, and I just adore watching My Fair Lady over and over as she goes up against "poor Professor Higgins."
Professor Henry Higgins makes me laugh so hard in this movie and while he's conceited and thinks only of himself, I can't help but admire his tenacity. And I love his songs as he sings about why women can't be more like him, or how he's too good to let a woman in his life. His way of singing is so different from anyone else in other musicals, including back in the early days of musicals. And I just love it.
As for my favorite songs... I love Eliza's songs, Wouldn't It Be Loverly and I could Have Danced All Night. I also love Henry Higgins' song, I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face. I love all of the songs, but these just stand out to me a bit more so than the rest.
Now... I love how Eliza doesn't wind up in love Freddy, as she returns to Henry Higgins in the end because the two have found love. Not the romantic kind of love, but a very deep friendship built up from respect and admiration. It's quite beautiful and the ending couldn't be more perfect for two such strong willed characters, especially with Henry Higgins refusing to admit he is in the wrong.
I absolutely love seeing Eliza finally put Henry Higgins in his place and knock him down when no one else has ever been able to do, including his own mother. However, Eliza needed his help to learn how to speak properly so she could become a lady and to find her voice, while Henry needed her help to discover that he isn't the most perfect human being alive and to show him that he can treat others with respect and kindness without people seeing him as weak.
And finally... Audrey Hepburn sadly doesn't sing any of her own songs in this movie, just as I mentioned in my comments under your reaction for West Side Story. Her singing voice is actually Marni Nixon who is known for not only Eliza's singing voice, but also several other actresses' singing voices in movies such as for Maria in West Side Story, in The King and I, and in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Audrey Hepburn was disappointed they wouldn't allow her to sing for herself, but the director of My Fair Lady felt she needed a stronger voice than what Audrey had. It's seems sad and I feel bad for Audrey Hepburn because she couldn't sing for herself, but Marni Nixon is phenomenal and so I understand the director's decision too.
Overall... I love this movie so much, and I easily consider it to be one of my all time favorite musicals along with Singin' in the Rain, Fiddler on the Roof, The Music Man, etc... Thank you so much again! I am so happy you watched this movie and enjoyed it so much. :) I look forward to your next reactions like always, and will continue to request more classic musicals down the road. Until next time...

I love this one but my favourite movies with Audrey Hepburn are Roman Holiday and Charade.
