One Tree Hill 3x16 FULL REACTION

Comments

The episodes are missing in the link

Meg Listra

Okay, but during the time they all thought Jimmy killed Keith, imagine the guilt Nathan probably felt. Because him getting his phone out and texting Dan is what set Jimmy off saying that whoever stepped into that hallway would die. Then Keith got shot and they thought Jimmy did it. I just thought of that and it breaks my heart... :'(

DazzleFae

You should watch this video. It's the actors of Keith and Dan saying what they did to prepare for the scene where Dan kills Keith. And it's hilarious! (You obviously don't HAVE to watch it, just thought you might enjoy it...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVHrG3E8ovE

DazzleFae

I can’t believe I ended up crying! I watched this episode so many times and it still gets me!! Love your reaction especially the end!!

Stephanie Johns

Lol the screaming won’t stop sadly 🙊😂

JuliDG

onet

Gosh I've been waiting for you to watch this episode ever since you started watching this show!! Your reaction was priceless!

Iben Frederiksen

After all the times I've watched this episode I thought maybe, just maybe I wouldn't break completely down. And yet here I am with my heart shattered all over the floor. One Tree Hill has always been great at creating drama, but this episode in particular is truly something else. It also proves oth was ahead of its time , in some ways. Back when this came out in 2006 there weren't that many school shootings in the US as it is these days. There was Colombine, but except that there wasn't any other. (Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not from the US) As heartbreaking and devastating this episode was and still is I still think it was beautifully done, and it's an episode that stays with you, whether you want to or not. All the actors did a phenomenal job, the feelings they put into their characters are so raw and you can feel their pain. So much changed after this episode and it just wasn't the same after this.

Anna

hahahaha, I was right there with her too. I knew the last few episodes when she said "cool he's not boring anymore" that she'd say something like that once he dies. And let's face it: he was boring in season 2. finally when we all were truly happy he was here, Dan killed him ;)

thisismaria27

I love that about the episode too! You can see that kids like Jimmy need guidance and compassion and not access to weapons. Otherwise this wouldn't have happened or at least not that way.

thisismaria27

Yes exactly! If she had done it under normal circumstances, I wouldn't be able to forgive her for that but she thought she was about to die and she couldn't hide her true emotions any longer.

thisismaria27

No it's not, but I feel like this was the darkest or at least one of the darkest episodes one tree hill has ever had. it changed the entire trajectory of the show and also really cemented it as THE teen drama. nothing was ever the same afterwards.

thisismaria27

Way back when this episode first aired, school shooting weren't that big of a topic in the media yet (althought they were already happening too often) and it felt so raw and important back then. I really love how one tree hill didn't take sides in that scenario - you saw Jimmy and had empathy for him while at the same time totally condemning what he was doing. Which is exactly why you shouldn't be able to access a gun when you're too young and not mentally stable. The true villain here wasn't Jimmy though, it was Dan. I remember being so shook, because nobody saw coming what he did. It was just really good storytelling.

thisismaria27

I agree with you on Peyton's kiss. I know it's a much debated topic among fans till this day and people are very divided on it. for me, Brooke is my favorite character on the show, but I ship Lucas and Peyton together. So I was not about to take sides on that - I just see it as a complicated situation. Like you said, she was about to die and that makes you say and do things that otherwise you wouldn't. Plus, Lucas was saving her - AGAIN. He is always there when she is in a difficult situation and she must feel a connection bc of that. That doesn't mean she wants to steal him from Brooke though. And like Juli meant, I'm torn on wether she should've told Brooke about it or not. It's not that simple.

thisismaria27

this episode stays with you. it stands out in every way. i still get chills everytime I see it. also: back when this episode aired there weren't any school shooting episodes, there was no broadcasting about school shootings in general, it was before all the kids went on TV talking about it. it was truly special. Also kudos to the actor who played Jimmy - he did a marvellous job blending the hurt kid with the angry shooter.

thisismaria27

Yep. Still hurts to watch lmao. When I first watched, I was 14 years old and I remember so well the end of this episode. The whole episode I was like 10 inches away from the tv screen because it was so intense and then when....That Happened at the end, I jumped so high and let out basically the same scream you did. Also if you didn't notice.....Keith jokes quite often about being shot earlier this season >.>

Sara Peterson

This episode always makes me cry no matter what. There's so many emotions. Honestly, even though the context is bad, this episode is probably one of the best episodes of the show. It's handled very maturely, and it covers the topic well. This episode is a game changer which is why we were excited about it. It truly does affect every single person in this show from Dan to Keith to Lucas to Peyton to Brooke to Rachel. It affects EVERYone even the smaller characters. This episode is definitely one of the most memorable episodes of the show. I always remember every single aspect of this episode, no matter what. From Jimmy's mom to Lucas and Peyton's feelings, to even talking about how the news/media exploits events like this. The best part of this episode is that it doesn't have an agenda. It doesn't take a side, it simply tells a story. It is up for the viewer to interpret the episode and take what they want out of it. And of course, it's very real after Columbine, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, West Nickels Mines. Truly though, this episode affects every single character on this show both main and side, which is why this episode is so coveted and anticipated.

Rubi Moon

You wonder why we were excited? Your reaction to it is the reason. I knew your reaction would be amazing as usual, but this one was on a whole different level. I've seen this episode many times but watching with you had my heart pounding. I could feel your stress and you gave me a few laughs which is hard in an episode like this! This might be a heartbreaking and stressful episode but it made for one of the best reactions ever. I have never seen someone react to it so I didn't know what to expect, but it was better than I imagined. I always cry at the end when Jimmy is breaking down saying it hurts, and watching it with you made me cry even more. Also the combination of music and dialogue as Dan points the gun at Keith always gives me chills. This episode stays with you, in both a good and bad way. Sorry you had to go through it but every OTH fan has to! Thanks for the phenomenal reaction Juli! 😭💜

Jenn Rose

We love drama Juli.. Did you realy thinked that it would be a happy episode? I hope you get better. Don't be offended by us and we love you. I'm sorry Jimmy, I really sympathize with him and I never thought he was a villain. He just broke down inside and no one was around to support him in time. As for Dan, I think we're still hating him now.

adilja

Ha I laughed when you said "Peyton's not even a lesbian and she gets shot" lol.

miah.sun

It’s been over ten years since this episode aired and it still gets me every time.

Jared Scoggin

Note: can you guys dare me to say that Peyton is not strong and brave?!?!!! Because SHE FUCKING IS MY QUEEN

Enzo

let me just say one tree hill is rare to have good endings lol from now after this episode is alot of plot twist and cliff hangers in the series. there is good endings ofc but one tree hill is known for real life situations happening and shock factor to bring notice to fans compared to other teen shows that show a fiction ending

izzy

u missed something in the hallway

Daniel Larson

Okay so I SHOULD NOT BE LAUGHING sorry but your reactions just made me laugh because that was exactly what I needed!! Even though the episode was HORRIBLE AND INTENSE your reactions are always amazing to see. For Peyton, she really thought she was dying so that’s definitely understandable. Thank you Juli for these OTH reactions, truly. ❤️

Enzo

Oh gosh, I’m crying all over again. I could feel your stress through the screen😭 There’s so many shows with school schooling episodes, but this one is the best to me; it’s truly heartbreaking & I can feel all their emotions as it plays out. This episode sticks to us OTH fans because it’s like the turning point of the show, in that we know this will change all of them forever. I don’t blame Peyton for kissing Lucas, as she didn’t know if she’d make it out alive & it was essentially her last chance to reveal how she feels. Brooke crying after realizing she doesn’t know anyone outside of her clique always gets me. And Dan- how could he kill his own brother😖 RIP Keith. I’m so excited to see your reactions to the rest of this season!

heather

I understand that you hate the love triangle but Peyton and Lucas are end game 😤🤧

Angel Flores

The trueness of the episode makes it heartbreaking, we tend to demonize people without trying to understand where they come from , they made Jimmy a normal person and it makes it althemore real...Not a murderer and not evil, just a kid who is hurt, and the scene with Keith always makes me cry...And the twist with Dan is good nevertheless

Darius 12

I swear I was crying right with Juli and then when she said “don’t tell me Keith is going to die. I know I called him boring in season 2, but he doesn’t deserve to die.” I diiiieddddd 😂 i couldn’t stop laughing for about 2 minutes. I knew she was going to take back what she said about him in this episode. lmaoooooo I love her. 😂

Tyler Powe

Sorry if I keep commenting lol, but one thing I appreciated from one tree hill is that they could tell a story without being vulgar or exploitative, like take 13rw for example, I couldn’t watch the show for a long time because like most people and kids in America school shootings have traumatized me and the whole arc that they had leading up to the shooting triggered me so much I couldn’t watch, or the Grey’s shooting episode, though I loved that show, that episode is so raw and I can’t rewatch it like the oth one. It wasn’t even focused so much on shootings but more like bullying if that makes sense, Idk I just liked how you could tell that jimmy wasn’t a killer, even though it is unrealistic because almost all school shooters actually kill, it was nice to be able to actually sympathize with jimmy instead of seeing him as this terrible monster

fry

I have to defend Peyton in saying that she really did feel as if she might not make it out alive. So in that circumstance she didn't want to have her last moments not include letting some of her subconscious through and act on how she feels about Lucas. I think that is completely different than if it would be under normal circumstances. I say this because if it were Peyton would not do that to Brooke. She would say something before making her season 1 mistake again.

Dydra Arnold

I was so stressed out! haha

JuliDG

Also this is not the end of oth bringing you sadness and pain unfortunately lol

fry

BROOKE: Are you Glenda? JULI: BITCH, YOUR MOM IS LOOKING FOR YOU Thank you for making me laugh during this depressing episode 🤣😂

Christopher Nicholas

Also I’m getting “it gets better” tattooed on my wrist because that line and monologue from Keith always stuck with me. It was sad that jimmy lost hope, but I truly believe that it can get better no matter what

fry

I started crying with you, I’ve seen this episode so many times and yet everytime I ball. This episodes unfortunately resonates with what is happening in the US today so much and it just makes it hurt that much more. They somehow managed to bring pain to a whole other level in this episode. Then Keith, I hated dan for the longest time for this, being a complete jackass is one thing, but killing your OWN brother? What sick human does that? It gets me everytime like I can’t stop crying, this was a phenomenal episode and a phenomenal reaction

fry

This episode always stress me out

S.Sauce

For the record, I have never once rewatched this episode since it aired back in 2006 but I think I'm finally ready :p

Sara Peterson

I wasn't ready 😢 I'M NEVER READY 😭😭

Christopher Nicholas

Here we go. The episode everyone was waiting for. I'm both excited and nervous to watch this. One of the most heartbreaking and intense episodes of any show ever. I've been waiting for you to get to this point but now that it's here I can't believe it! 😱

Jenn Rose

yes!!! i used that line for a literary analysis essay for my english class when i analyzed Lucas

izzy

Man. This episode. I could go on and on about so much. Everything from Nathan not even thinking twice to go save Haley, to Brooke being forced to look at how the social constructs that she thrives in may effect those are at the very bottom of that popularly chain. This episode will change the course the entire show from here on out. Peyton: HATE that everything always happen to her!!! Such power scenes from her though. There aren't many moments between Leyton that I rank high on my list of favorites scenes from this show but this is one of the rare ones. Watching Peyton go through this really made me connect with her in this episode. This girl has the worst luck. Lucas being that shield and rock for her like he's always done so many times. The kiss was a very controversial topic in the fandom. Still is. I don't blame Peyton for kissing Lucas, considering she was in the mind state of thinking she wouldn't make it out alive. Some would say that she still shouldn't have done it, and technically yeah, it's not right. But imo she's done nothing but try to do what's right in regards to Brooke and Lucas' relationship, and this moment happened because Peyton didn't want to die with the regret of not letting Lucas know how she feels. Brooke is my favorite character and I've always rooted for her and Lucas but I won't call her a bitch for this the way some people do.

Nathan

A lot of us OTH fans love this show because apparently we love to be stressed and in pain because all of our favorite characters CAN NEVER BE HAPPY

Ritchie

there's another I can think of...no spoilers :)

Darius 12

Can I just say “does this darkness have a name, is it your name?” is the best one tree hill line ever

fry

There are certain episodes of certain shows that stay with you forever. This is one of them. 💔

Brian Jones

Ayyyyy the episode we've all been anticipating since you started the season!

Ritchie

Finally!!!!!

Tino Paul Hylton

I can’t wait to watch!!!!!!

fry

OMG I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ALL DAY LET’S GOOOOO
