I get so mad when you see that Jimmy's mother almost buried him alone because of him. I love the Naley scenes and how much they love each other even more when things are hard. I also hate how Rachel acts knowing that she opened the time capsule and that was a catalyst for Jimmy. She tells Mouth but she still doesn't seem to have much remorse. in hindsight . Brooke is the sweetest. I love how she made Naley a blanket with the wedding dress material.

2020-07-17 02:28:56 +0000 UTCThere's just so much sadness and tragedy during both 3x16 and 3x17, but despite all that I find some sort of comfort that Nathan and Haley still manage to find some kind of positivity and be the adorable couple that they are. The drama and heartache is far from over, but the next couple of episodes are much lighter and happier than these past episodes, so excited for what's to come.

Of course, he is a villain as evident by everything he did up to that point, but he could've still turned it around, he could've still fixed things. Killing Keith though made him irredeemable imho. That was the final straw, the big swing he can't come back from. I watched all seasons too and I think they never ever lost sight of what Dan did that day. This will always be something he can't take back.

2020-03-27 09:11:22 +0000 UTCI feel like 3x16 was the episode that was so shocking and mind-blowing, but 3x17 was the episode were we truly cried it out. Dan destroyed so many lives that day. This is really a turning point for him, because he crossed the final line that he can't come back from. He killed his own brother, the adoptive father of his son, the love of Karen's life, the beloved member of that town. And to top it all of, he blamed a troubled kid that was mentally unstable. Like you said, now he made Jimmy's mother think he's a killer while Dan walks away with nothing but a bad concience. It's tragically ironic that the real villain, the real killer wasn't the troubled school shotter, but the jealous brother who wanted revenge. This is why we told you we were excited for 3x16 - because it's the episode that changed the entire show. Nobody ever came back from that, everything was forever altered - for better or worse. I think it was also a good reminder for the kids that they need to use their (for some new-found) popularity to help the outsiders, the loners, the kids that get bullied like Jimmy did. A great first step was that the boys went to Jimmy's funeral. Rachel releasing the time capsule was wrong af, but I don't think that makes her responsible for what Jimmy did afterwards. He was very unwell already, this was just the straw that broke the camel's back. And yes, nobody was at fault here really, but maybe in the future they can prevent kids from feeling so lost and alone that they would even consider trying what Jimmy did. That's the real lesson here - show some compassion, give some attention. A few kind words go a long way.

2020-03-27 09:08:12 +0000 UTCIt is 3am and I'm crying along with you. This episode is so emotional but it shows how everyone grieves differently and that is so honest and true. Keith was never my favorite character, but I did like him. Especially when he returned this season, and the last few episodes when he was happy with Karen and going to adopt Lucas, I really started to care for him more. Then he is literally ripped away from us from Dan. We all hated Dan, but this crossed the line. Ugh. Anyway Whitey always gets me emotional too, and whenever Lucas cries I cry (actually any character on this show crying makes me cry, that's how attached we can get!). This was an amazing binge day and I loved your reactions as I always do. Looking forward to you continuing on to the end of the season and beyond! :)

As for the love triangle, you know, I don't remember what I thought at the time if they should tell Brooke or not but I do remember thinking like....I don't blame Peyton. Like I was not mad at her because in what you think is gonna be your dying moments....... like you say and do what you have to do. I think I would have wanted to know though personally

And we all know that Brooke is always overreacting so I think she didn’t want to hurt her BFF’s feelings for what she thinks was nothing. Peyton’s truly the best I think she’s really trying the best she can to protect everyone. Yes she does mistake but she does not want to hurt anyone. I know I would have done the same, maybe it’s not the right decision I don’t know but I really understand her and identify to her character A LOT. Last thing, the next episode is a really funny et beautiful one so you can relax, I swear we’re not being evil now 😂.... until next time!

2020-03-27 07:06:00 +0000 UTCI’ve seen all 9 seasons, I know characters from start to finish. But rewatching this episode with you, with everything I know aside I just want to say I HATE DAN. Keith may have been whiney but he honestly had the short end of the stick, his parents always compared him to Dan, the girl he loved fell for Dan, his business got taken over by Dan, his wedding was ruined by Dan, and finally he gets something he always wanted: Karen and Lucas, and what does Dan do? He takes it away from him. That is like the nail in the coffin for my hatred for Dan, it’s like I can watch (for example not a spoiler) s5,1,2,9 and be like yeah Dan isn’t my favorite but I don’t wish him death but this season just makes me want to see him rot, because I don’t believe it’s just thinking Keith tried to kill him that made him pull the trigger, he was jealous that Keith had the life that Dan has tried to fake, and it makes me so angry because Keith isn’t even my favorite character, but knowing that he was so close to having everything he wanted to having it not only be taken away, but taken away by Dan makes me so angry

2020-03-27 06:43:22 +0000 UTCTo answer your question about Lucas/Peyton/Brooke and the kiss: I believe Peyton hasn't said anything about the kiss because she doesn't want to hurt Brooke's feelings. At this point, she truly wants to believe that the kiss was just because she was bleeding out. So from that perspective, she doesn't want to let this information out and have Brooke overreact and it ruin friendships when she's in the state of mind that the kiss "didn't mean anything." Could that be considered flawed? Probably. But I believe she has Brooke's best interest at heart. She wants her best friend to be happy. And if that means denying her feelings and putting others first... She'll do that. There's only a couple of times that Peyton truly stands up for herself and her feelings throughout this series. It's not the best way to handle things but the intentions and motives are pure and coming from the best place.
