2020-04-07 17:36:05 +0000 UTCI love how the main storyline throughout this episode allows for Lucifer to see the potential consequences to his favors he offers to the humans. It's very interesting. And Lucifer realizes how the people like Chloe whom he's come to care about upon being fascinated by the changes they bring upon himself, are affected by his actions in a way that he never really understood before. I really love his continued development as he slowly comes to understand our world, as well as human emotions. As for Maze... she cares about Lucifer in her own way, and that she's his protector. However, she was never his protector from the humans before since he's immortal and can't be hurt by them, or at least until now as be appears to be changing in a way that is still a mystery to them both. Maze has joined Lucifer on Earth to protect him from unknown forces and potential dangers from Heaven and Hell, including protecting him from himself as well. Plus... angels have their own rules as to what they and cannot do, but it doesn't necessarily mean Lucifer isn't in danger because of them. Amenadiel wants to send his brother back to Hell, and Maze knows he'll do whatever he has to do. And he's not the only angel either. As for Dan... His name is Dan Espinoza and no... he's not a bad guy. He's really a good guy, who still cares about Chloe as a friend and as the mother of his daughter. Lucifer simply calls him Detective Douche because he doesn't like him, and he sees him as a bore. Plus... Lucifer's first impression of Dan was when Dan was warning Chloe to back off on a case in the Pilot episode. And then they just don't get along the more they come to interact with one another. But Dan is a good man and he cares about Chloe and his daughter. And he's a good detective. Now... Lucifer has come to realize that his actions and carelessness throughout this case nearly got Chloe killed, and he certainly doesn't want her to be hurt in the process of his exploration of humanity and mortality. He cares about her. And by him caring for her, Maze is worried, which is the reason for her standing over Chloe while she's sleeping in her house. Maze sees Chloe as a threat to Lucifer, and therefore she was there considering whether or not to kill Chloe in order to protect Lucifer. I think she eventually decided not to, because she knew that Lucifer would be angry with her if she killed Chloe, and that he would never forgive her. Overall... I enjoy this episode. The case isn't one of the better cases, but it's still enjoyable overall. And this show is definitely a show people love for all the characters and their stories, especially Lucifer himself. And each of this show's characters have really amazing chemistry with one another. I can't wait for your reaction for the next episode!!! I think you're gonna enjoy it and its case more than these last five so far, so until then... Thank you so much!!!
