One Tree Hill 4x03 FULL REACTION

Rewatching this, I still think Brooke is out of line. Of course she's upset and mad but some of the things she says are just absolutely HORRIBLE. The line about Peyton saying "I love you" sends people to their graves..... god. That was the moment in Season 4 where I wondered if I could forgive her. Knowing EVERYTHING Peyton has gone through and all of the loss....... comparing the loss of two mothers to Brooke losing a guy she didn't even love anymore? I can't. I CAN'T!

I think you’re right, Brooke crossed a few lines with her comments (especially those about the mom) but so did Peyton. So did everybody. this is certainly not Brooke’s best look for sure, but all of the characters had those periods were they were misbehaving out of anger and hurt. it’s like the oth right of passage ;)

i mean i agree that some of her comments are very mean but that doesn’t make her horrible. didn’t peyton also do some mean shit and we still love her? same for Lucas, Nathan, Haley? doing or saying a few bad things don’t instantly make you horrible. at least that’s the way I see it.

I don't know what's more stressful; Rachel messing with my babies or Juli stressing out about it. Rachel is such a frustrarting character. One moment she's kinda decent and the next she causes all kinds of drama. I honestly just want to punch her for even trying to mess with Naley. And although I love Brooke with all of my heart, I feel like s4 is a lowpoint for her. I get that she's hurt, and she has every right to be, but some of the stuff she says to Lucas and especially Peyton is just taking it too far. I will save my rant about the subject for a later episode, but yeah, I didn't like seeing Brooke like this, cause I know she's so much better.

He’s a psycho... lol yes!! The fans called him “psycho Derek” the reveal was really creepy. I really hate Brooke’s attitude towards Peyton especially since Peyton’s been honest with her. But I did love her standing up for Naley. Rachel is the absolute worst.

I think you made one of the most important distinctions between Peyton and Brooke throughout high school and this whole love triangle scenario. As bad as everything did hurt Brooke, and I am not trying to downplay that at all, Peyton never meant to hurt her. She didn't want to hurt her and though she hid things, which arguably made things worse, she did it partly because she didn't want to hurt her best friend. I feel like Brooke intentionally has tried to hurt Peyton plenty of times. I know some of it can be excusable because Brooke felt betrayed. However, bringing the mother's into it was really low. And the negative things from Brooke haven't even got to its worse point yet.

This was a great episode. Regarding Brooke and Peyton, this is definitely a tough season for them. Honestly, I think their friendship is at its best in seasons 5 and 6. However, I have to say, I don't like the low digs that Brooke takes at Peyton. She says some nasty things and brings Peyton's mothers into it as well. I feel like Brooke crossed way too many lines, especially considering the content that is coming up in future episodes.

Thank you for these reactions, and to go back to the Brooke and Lucas breakup since I was late to the party....Even though I love Brooke and Lucas together even more than Leyton, it always seemed like unfortunately Brooke always cared about Lucas more than Lucas did about her, it's my opinion....Iv'e never truly appreciated the way Lucas was with her, even though they had their moments, and it's not like Lucas didn't 'deserve her' or anything but it's like he never truly loved her for her, he certainly desired her, but in the end it's my opinion that he didn't stand by her enough. The breakup in 4X01 I can say is heartbreaking and extremely realistic in the way it portrays things not working out

Honestly what I loved about this episode... Is they both had one another's backs. Brooke with Haley in regards to her relationship via Rachel. Haley with Brooke in regards to her relationship via Peyton. Both were upset on the others behalf, and went to defend them.

I've had a stressful day. OTH + Juli is the perfect combination for me to feel better ❤

First of all, Thank you for all of your hard work. You keep us fed with content. Secondly.. (Honesty hour) Peyton and Brooke's friendship is so overrated. So, I've been holding this opinion in for future episodes but I just can't any longer after knowing this is the Brooke stand up to Rachel on Naley's behalf while also thinking about how, regardless of which one of them is or isn't pregnant, they're there for one another and it's been that way ever since Brooke took Haley in after she came back from the tour, when it seemed like everyone had written her off. And just knowing where some of the story is going... Brooke and Haley are the duo that we deserved all along. The writers have been |telling| us since season 1 how close Peyton and Brooke are but I think they've done a hell of a job showing us just how fragile that friendship really is. Peyton talked crap about Brooke not being the "dating type" and couldn't even see that her best friend was actually serious about a guy. Brooke walked away from Peyton without even a second thought or attempting to see things from her POV. They let a boy come between them so easily and honestly, how many scenes have they truly had where they uplifted each other after either of them we're going through something major in their life? I could probably count on one hand. Many people don't like to admit it but this show did everything to drive these two apart so I don't get why people are even sold on them being true bffs.

But Peyton never set out to hurt her on purpose, and to make cracks about something so painful to Peyton didn't sit well with me!
