A little background: Last week I decided to rewatch OTH and since I love reactions, I thought 'let's see if I can find any, since the show has been off the air for a while'. That's how I found you. I watched all your reaction in like a day and then I was like 'Nooo I want to keep watching'. So I decided to become a Patron and like binged all the rest of your reactions and now I'm all caught up. I LOVE getting to binge them all in one day but then I like it one every day because then I can pace myself :P so my preference is: do what you prefer to do!!! whatever is gonna be easiest and the most fun for you will work for me! 2020-04-16 03:48:31 +0000 UTCI used to be so adamant when I was first watching this show (and even on a couple of rewatches) that “PeYToN bAD BRoOke BeST gIRL” but the situation and relationship they have is much more complicated than that and not at all black and white. Sometimes people get caught up on being “Team Blank” and demonizing whoever threatens their happiness but it’s always nice to see people who can see them as three-dimensional characters. Especially now that I’ve grown up to be one of those people who can do the same

However, I love and respect Brooke and she is a close second for me. As a Peyton fan, I can admit when she’s wrong and how I feel bad for Brooke when it comes to everything she has been through. I understand Peyton personally more. That doesn’t mean that Brooke is terrible. Brooke has the best character evolution on the show. It’s important to remember that people make mistakes.. these characters are young. I think both of them deserve so much credit. Just spreading the love for both of the ladies. 💕

I feel so bad for Peyton, I just want to take her and protect her. That poor girl has gone through too much! I can't believe we are at this point already but still have so much more to go! I'm all for binging episodes, but do what is easier for you or what you feel like doing. As long as we get OTH in any form I'm happy :)

2020-04-15 17:08:54 +0000 UTCYou know, I think loving Peyton because she suffers the most is a positive not a negative. I think that because it shows how strong she is. She faces so many things and still is one of the best characters. She cares so much about others and is a fighter. She really is a beautiful character. I don't know how many people could carry themselves as she does when going through everything she has. I think some people see her as moody, whiney, and depressing. However, I see her as brave, strong, loving, and caring. Sure, has she had her moments? Yes. But who wouldn't? Basically, I love Peyton Sawyer with my entire heart. I have yet to find a television character that is so personally relatable and authentic.

Nathan's reaction to Haley's pregnancy is completely understandable, even though it broke my heart seeing Haley so down afterwards. But ofc Nathan is scared and doesn't quite know how to deal with those news. He's 17 after all and having a baby changes everything. For a split moment I thought he would turn into Dan, but it makes me so proud that he once again shows us he's so much better and completely differnt and turned it all around. Nathan is such an amazing husband and guy, his development is just... ugh, I love him so much. His speech during the press conference and his declaration to Haley always makes me cry. So sweet and beautiful.

And how they got there is so beatiful actually. I love how they've handled the development of their friendship, showing that you don't have to know each other the longest to be each other's best friends. Brooke and Peyton have their moments as well and I do like their friendship at times, but I'll take Braley over Breyton all day every day.

I actually liked the story about Peyton's brother and how they made it happen ... it's true Peyton always gets picked on, but that also often means she gets the best storylines - her mom, her stalker, her love triangle, her brother, etc. whereas I always pledged for more non-romantic storylines for Brooke, which yes she sometimes gets, but I still feel like other characters get more of that (at least up until this episode - no spoilers). Regarding Brooke's and Peyton's friendship I feel like when they're on good terms they're there for each other, but this show has droven a wedge between these two incredible ladies so many times that it sometimes feels hard seeing how great of friends they are/were. Whereas Haley and Brooke for instance never have something standing in the way of their friendship, so it's more consistent that they support each other in difficult situations. I really appreciate that though, because I've read soooo many times that Brooke is a crappy friend, which she is absolutely not - she let the entire school slutshame her just to keep a secret for Haley.. she even gave Peyton a second chance after what she did in season 1.. she even is a good friend to Rachel who has been terrible towards her .. not to mention how she defies every single high school clique trope by being truly good friends with Mouth. So yeah I get that Brooke's and Peyton's friendship is terrible when fractured (as it is in this episode), but that doesn't make either of them a bad friend in general. Brooke is just lashing out because she's hurt and the same hurt keeps popping up all over this show so it seems like that's all she's doing. I agree though that some of her insults are really overboard like the jokes about Peyton's mother, that's just rude to their memory.

I really love Brooke and Haley’s friendship, they’ve gotten really close since they moved in together in S3. Its nice that Brooke was there for her and covered for her. I also loved Nathan telling Rachel she never had a chance with him not even even if Haley wasn’t pregnant. Haha but as messed up with Rachel is she’s also really sage and wise sometimes. I liked that she told Nathan he was gonna be alright. But I still don’t like her lol. I was really scared for Peyton the first time watching this. It’s like watching a horror film. He’s creepy and horrible and the scene where he attacks her in her room was insane, I was afraid he was going to rape her. It’s probably what he was going to do. But of course Lucas was there to save her, like he always is. And I loved the introduction to the real Derek “I’m her brother bitch” haha Bad things always happen to Peyton but she always also fights her way through, she’s a survivor and that’s why I love her character. She always survives. Nathan’s declaration to Haley on national TV was really sweet. Of course he was gonna do the right thing by her and their baby. 💜

Student teacher relationships are 100% disgusting no matter what. I think its different than the Ezra thing though because Aria was a minor and Brooke is 18 an adult. And after the initial shock Nathan's reaction was so sweet.

2020-04-15 09:40:58 +0000 UTCI'm sorry i'm again gonna be that guy that disagrees with you about Dan lol...Only partially though.....Look yes Dan for all these years has very clearly been who he was, it's who he's been. And yes he's narcissistic, but it goes far to say that he plainly doesn't care about Nathan at all and thinks it's all about him....He wants Nathan to do what he wants hi to do to fulfill his own dream he couldn't achieve, that's undeniable and yes that is wrong.....But in the context of this episode this is also and very clearly Nathan's dream as well, if you ask me it can't be such a bad thing that Dan tells his son to think twice before giving it up, in order not to repeat the exact same mistakes that he's made....And i'm i'm just looking at it to another lens when saying that i think that Dan at this point in time is sincere and maybe yes he's improving himself out of guilt....But doing better things for people is doing better things for them no matter what reason. I don't want to seem looney look the guy killed his brother I said it he's a very damaged man, still at this point in time in my opinion there is goodwill on his part and I think he said the right things in this episode considering the circumstances.

I so relate to you being scared to watch bc when OTH has that opening instead of the theme song, we know some serious stuff goes down lol! I like Brooke & Haley’s friendship over Peyton & Brooke’s because even though they haven’t been friends for that long, they feel comfortable enough to talk about anything & I love certain moments of just their banter & seeing them grow closer! I totally understand Nathan being scared after finding out Haley’s pregnant, but we all knew he would do the right thing- he’s such a good husband/ person in general- Dan needs to stop trying to get in his head! Bad things always seem to happen to Peyton :( Derek needs some serious help!! As for Rachel setting Brooke up with an older man... we all know how that turned out with Cooper😬 Excited for next week’s OTH reactions!
