Phew. These comments. As much as Juli hurt my soul by saying the things she said about Brooke, let’s be honest, she’s absolutely right. Brooke is the literal face of OTH and there’s no denying it regardless of which “team” anyone is on. But that face wasn’t always pretty and season 4 was the lowest of low points for Brooke. A lot of us have this connection to Brooke but we have to remember that it took a lot of time and growth for to evolve into the powerhouse that we know her to be. And Juli’s opinion currently, I can’t really disagree with.

I have so many conflicting feelings on season 5 lol but it’s a great season also!!! I love it. I think they really found their footing in season 6. It was the best season of the adult years in my opinion.

I agree with you, Brooke is nowhere near a terrible person. She said (and will say) terrible things sometimes, but it isn’t a reflection of who she is. She has one of the biggest hearts and capacities to care about other people, the problem in this situation is that she’s being too stubborn and set in not wanting to care about Peyton that she’s not a great version of herself, and I think we can all relate to sometimes not being a good version of yourself. She crosses a line with what she says and she makes a lot of mistakes this season but she’s still growing and learning how to be better.

Calling Brooke a terrible person is a reach lmaoo she didn’t murder anyone, she said nasty things to Peyton is season 4, same as Peyton said some slick comments about Brooke in season 1, and it made me sick and this is coming from someone who can’t stand Peyton 🤷🏽‍♀️ Is she being childish and petty, yes. But let’s be real, Peyton and Brooke have a terrible friendship in the first 4 seasons and it’s on both of them, not just Brooke but the both of them. Peyton doesn’t let anyone in, you practically have to pull her teeth to get her to open up. And Brooke doesn’t know how to let things go, instead she lets it boil up and it makes her say nasty things because when someone hurts her, she wants to hurt them back. My best friend does the same and I be having to check her on that. They both need to learn how to communicate better with each other. They both have problems, issues, but if they would have found a way to talk this could have been avoided. Unfortunately, a boy has come between them because their communication is crappy. At this point Brooke said their friendship is over, so showing empathy would be opening the door to putting their friendship back onto the steps of recovery and she doesn’t want that right now.

As I said before... The difference between Peyton and Brooke is that Peyton never set out to hurt Brooke. She fucked up. But she never meant to hurt her. I don't even think it was that bad the second time around. It sucked, and made Brooke's worst fears about Lucas and Peyton come true... But different circumstances. It wasn't sneaking around. It was a kiss during the school shooting when Peyton thought she might die. Was it wrong? Yeah... I guess? I mean it was probably more wrong that they didn't say anything about it. It's funny cause I was very against the relationship in season 1 with how it went down, but I don't think it was this bad the second time around. Especially not to the extent Brooke has been taking it. I do understand of course why she's hurt and upset, but she was awful about how she handled it IMHO. It's funny too cause I am more of a fan of Brooke then Peyton, but I am more Team Peyton here given the circumstances. At the end of the day though, Haley is my #1 girl. Lol. Glad you're enjoying this season!

I love Brooke but IDK if her being cold is too OOC? She reacted the same way back in season 1. Which I thought she had more of a right to back then tbh. Even though I thought that dragged on for a bit, to the point where I was like "I get it. But just ignore her/them then."

I'd love a season 5 binge!!! It is definitely possible since that is a shorter season with only 18 episodes. Also for many people its considered a weaker season of the show, so it might be better to let it fly by? Who knows! Anyway great reaction for this episode, but yea be warned that Brooke for the first half of season 4 is not always the B.Davis that we know and love. She really lets her anger with Peyton dictate how she treats her and there are a few more nasty comments from her to come. But she is still a great character and has some great character growth and development over the course of the series!!! All in all season 4 is a very strong season with many great moments and can't wait to see more reactions to come!!!

I just wanna say again what you said because you were right. To me, Peyton Sawyer means so freaking much. She’s definitely one of the most meanful characters that will ever be on television. She was strong (fucking strong for sure), caring, and unique. I can everyone can relate to Peyton in one way or another. She was such a beautiful heart. I will always & forever love Peyton Sawyer. She taught me so much and I could not be more grateful. Hilarie has done an outstanding job portraying her !

Also, I felt like this season was a bit out of character for Brooke, if I'm being honest. I understand that the idea is that she has been hurt so many times and she's reluctant, but I also don't really understand why Brooke was so cold. I mean yes she was hurt about Luke, but then she also felt conflicted about her feelings for Luke, and it felt like the dust was going to settle, but then it was just dragged on. I'm not entirely sure why Peyton and Brooke couldn't just have a moment to just talk things out, and show that Brooke and Peyton are the best friends that they are, and especially with what's coming in the next episodes with the whole uh cough cough moment, I feel like the tension between Peyton and Brooke was forced to lead up to that moment. And I am wondering what Juli will say when she watches that cough cough moment, but I think I have a pretty good idea of what it will end up being. Something along the lines of they were both wrong, but there was also a difference. Because that's how I feel about that particular moment.

Listen here are my thoughts on Peyton and Brooke. By now I think people on here probably know that Peyton Sawyer is my favorite. Does that make me biased? Probably. BUT, I do love Brooke. Just hear me out.. I think that no matter who you favor,, it was wrong of Brooke to go to the levels she went to. Especially after Peyton was honest. I get the betrayal was there. But I think Juli hit it on the head when she said that Brooke is self-absorbed. I have to agree. From seasons 1-4(well midseason) Brooke was self-absorbed in every way. It pains me to watch this back and see how bad it really is with her. She grows into this great woman and really changes herself, which I love. But seeing how she wasn't here for Peyton makes me so upset. Especially because I know Peyton would've been there for her if it happened to Brooke. I'm so glad Peyton has had Lucas because I don't know how she would've gotten through it all. Just to reiterate,,, I love Brooke, especially after high school. But it's just all wrong this season.

Brooke & Peyton’s friendship is rockier than ever. I’m glad you ship Leyton- their chemistry is so real; they’re meant for each other! Peyton gets put through hell- I really feel for her :( I’m glad the real Derek is looking out for her though. Nathan and Haley’s money problems are stressing them out... you’ll soon see how Nathan deals with it. Dan will never learn- Nathan is not an investment! It pains me to say this because Brooke is my queen and I love her, but this season she's just not the best version of herself. And without spoiling anything, I think her fighting with Peyton is taking too long. All that development Brooke's had up until now it's like she forgot all about it and just let it all fall back to someone she used to be. And I don't like it at all. I know she's hurting and still feels that betrayal, but with that big heart I know she has I wish she could just find that part of it that could forgive Peyton and Lucas. There are a lot of great friendships on this show, but it bothers me how they handled Brooke and Peyton's friendship at times. Yes, fights happen and friends argue, but imho I think they took it too far sometimes with Breyton. As I've mentioned before I do like their friendship, but only sometimes. S4 is a huge reason why I could never quite get on the Breyton train or ship or whatever you wanna call it.

Brooke is my favorite character on the show and one of my favorite characters in general, but the comments she can make towards Peyton can be really cruel this season. I think she's too angry and stubborn right now to want to feel any empathy towards Peyton, and that manifests itself in ugly ways.
