One of my favorite episodes. I especially love Haley and Skillz' friendship and Bevin telling Rachel off. Also wish we'd gotten more of Glenda.

I totally agree. Brooke and Peyton are both equally beautiful, interesting and complex characters and them being pitted against each other was just terrible. Luckily, Sophia and Hilarie are way too good and smart to play into that. Their friendship made Breyton’s friendship shine as strong as it did.

ugh I loved this!! thanks Juli for hanging in there 🙏
this episode as you said did what sets one tree hill apart from all the other teen dramas: it focuses on character growth morw than the classical teen stuff while still having them have classical teen problems.
I love how they gave us pairings this episode that we haven’t seen a lot of yet (except maybe Nathan and Peyton but they haven’t spoken in a while so it counts too). I love how Lucas and Mouth really learned a lesson from what happened to Jimmy and that they’re carrying it with them to not make anybody else feel excluded or unimportant.
I also can’t wait for you to meet Naley as parents 😍
Brooke also truly grew - her being totally honest with Chase and accepting that her not feeling good enough is not gonna last forever bc she will overcome those labels.

I really enjoyed this episode too when it originally aired and I'm impressed by how well it holds up after so many years. OTH is my second teen show after Dawson's Creek, which I began watching as a kid so half of the stuff in that show went right over my head at the time, I was just obsessed with Joshua Jackson. It was in my late teens when OTH began so I had a different perspective and I really appreciated how those shows would speak to the simple elements of everyday life as a teen, nowadays it seems like shows have to do crazy stunts to keep people viewing. And also, as a Breyton shipper, I'm sad that people are still trying to pit Peyton and Brooke against the other, like you loving one means that you can't love the other. Hilarie Burton recently released her memoirs and she's been doing alot of press for them, and of course they ask alot about OTH. She said in one of those interviews that what she was most proud of from her time in OTH was the way her friendship with Sophia survived in spite of how much people were pitting them against each other back then, how they would tell them "oh, she is prettier", "if you don't do this, she will", "she's gonna get more attention than you", all in an effort to manipulate them into behaving like those people wanted to or to make them give them what they wanted. But now they are still very good friends and can talk to each other openly and regularly and have finally realized the extend of how their insecurities as young women were exploited at the time. So, it's like in the end they beat them, their friendship is better than ever. And it's sad to think of the role that fans, who loved them, would play into that manipulation thinking they are doing it out of appreciation for their fave. It's also sadder to think that this kind of behavior from fans and people inside the business is a constant thning that young female actresses have to deal with, that some of them won't win that battle and that it may end up scarring them more than we think.

Yes! I'm so happy to see an OTH reaction up even though I know it has been hard to react to things! This episode was definitely worth the wait!

This episode remains one of my favorites from the entire show! I loved seeing these storylines between different characters that we don’t often see. Peyton & Nathan have such a great platonic relationship, but we usually don’t see scenes of just them together, so I loved it! Nathan is such a great guy, always thinking of everyone else before him, but I’m happy he has his own dream. Also, the Haley & Skills scenes made me cry- Skills is such a great guy & I’m so happy they decided to do more with his character this season instead of making him just Lucas’ friend. It was so sweet when he promised Haley that he’d be there for her son. I love Bevin! Even though she isn’t a “main” character, I’ve always identified with her & this episode just proves that she knows she doesn’t have to be tied to who she was in high school, unlike Rachel who relies on her popularity. Shelly & Mouth are super cute & I’m glad you like Chase so far! He’s actually one of my favorite characters, although his story really develops later on. Lucas & Glenda have good chemistry! Like Lucas said, I think they would’ve been friends earlier on if their lives weren’t how they were. I also appreciated the callbacks about Glenda’s mom not being the best from the school shooting episode. And your stressed face when you saw the Black & White logo LOL! It makes you think something very bad will happen, but this time the episode was just so honest & heartfelt!

Nathan’s hair in S4 are so on fire 🔥 I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought about it 😍.
This episode was soooo good and deep, it just proves that OTH doesn’t need explosive episodes to keep being exceptional! It just is amazing by its simplicity.
I liked Bevin very much, what she said was SO deep and relatable.
I can’t wait for next episodes, lots of secrets and shocking moments will be there. And I know your reactions will be as good as it always is. be ready! Love ❤️

Another thing I forgot to say is that although I do love this episode, I feel like Rachel felt really out of character.

I also wanna say how beautiful Haley, Brooke and Peyton's hairstyles are this season. Something I've always loved is how they change them so much, it's so refreshing. I can always tell which season it is by their hair, especially Haley, she pretty much has a new hairstyle every season.

This is such a great episode. Not only did we get to see characters who usually don't spend time together interact, but we also got to know a little more about each of the characters. And they way it's done is so beautiful. I love how in most episodes there's these life lessons we can all learn from and take with us.

this is exactly why I did a paper on oth for my senior year because this is a show from CW that actually teaches viewers something in then world of life. Thats why Lucas narrates towards the viewers, gives you a perspective not only on what the episode will be about but a perspective on your life and choices. how you can overcome labels or terms or people who tear you down. this show has always been a comfort for me and always been the show I watch when I need inspiration or motivation. Shows now even in CW lack that, they focus more on entertaining than realizing Real people and students watch it and love the characters and its nice that for One tree hill, since people love their characters not only do they entertain the viewers, they also use their characters to teach them life or love or family or how choices can impact or affect you. SHOWS NOW ARE MISSING THAT.

I also love that OTH can slow it down and really focus on characters and exploring them. I love how they mix it up for some of the characters and pair them with people we don't see together enough. I loved the Nathan and Peyton paring, the Hailey and skills pairing and the Lucas and Shelby paring. I loved how Skills said he would be there for Haley's baby. He is so sweet!!!! I also love how OTH can keep Nathan and Peyton platonic friends. I think OTH is great with platonic girl/boy friendships, like Lucas and Haley. I thought it was hilarious how Haley outed Lucas's middle name. It subtly shows their closeness.

I think that its awesome that they call things back from so long ago. In the school shooting episode, Glenda was hiding from her mom to scare her in the hopes that her mom will appreciate her more. So, I love the fact that they brought back that story and expanded on it.
