So I know that I am posting this 4 years later lol but I gotta say that I don't think Mouth in any way FORCED Shelly to have sex with him. She obviously already did want to be with him in that way but felt that she needed to uphold this image of the "clean teen" that she created for herself after being pretty "friendly" before that, getting her heart broken and having an abortion. I do agree that Mouth was laying down a bit of a guilt trip when they were talking and he should have just respected her stance; but he was also feeling heartbroken and pushed away by almost every girl that he's ever had feelings for so he was feeling in that moment like he wasn't good enough for anyone. But looking back on that scene, he had actually walked away from her and then she followed him into a empty bedroom. Like he's obviously in love with you and wants to be with you but if you don't want that then why did she not just leave him alone at the party? I get that she wanted to check on him to see if he was ok but she knows that he's not ok and he's heartbroken that she dumped him right before the prom so really unless she's there to take him back she should have just let him be and heal in his own time. Even on the bed, she jumped on him and took his shirt off, mouth never initiated the physical contact. Again yes I do feel like what he way saying was guilting her into it but at the same time I don't feel like he entirely forced the situation either.

2020-07-06 22:49:49 +0000 UTCBrooke’s storyline about Angie really is really and heartbroken, can’t wait for you to react to the 4 remain episodes because there is a lot to unpack about the relationship she will develop with that baby. Season 5 is the only season I love Brooke so much as I already told I never was a big fan of her character outside of this amazing storyline that made me cry 83737 times 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ Season 6 is even more awesome because I always felt like in season five they dragged out the storyline between Peyton and Lucas, it’s just poorly written seems like we back to high school and that’s so déjà-vu w/ Brooke. I don’t ship Brucas and I 100% like them as friends. Also glad to see Haley be w/ Peyton! I always felt like their relationship was not developed enough as it should has been. Idk why tho... they could have been so great together but Mark decided otherwise :/

But it was definitely around this time and the fact that she wanted to fill the void in her heart by having a family.

She had so much potential In early seasons, but she was so insecure—for good reasons—and she let that hold her back. I think from the beginning you realize that whenever she is true to herself and tries to be more than what other people see of her then she truly shines.

I appreciate her growth away from any love interest the most and it's highlighted a few times here. This was the point she started becoming one of my absolute favourite characters of all time. The way she looks at that baby like it's the purest thing in the world. She has a heart of absolute gold! I love that Peyton was so quick to take Haley on and produce her record, I think it's what they both needed and it's lovely seeing them supporting each other. Also YAY Nanny Deb is here!

I really love Brooke's development (with her mother and potential motherhood) and Naley's way back to each other (and their dreams) and Jamie ofc. The only thing about that season that I didn't like was Lucas's behaviour towards Lindsay and Peyton - he hid his history with Peyton from Lindsay, kissed Peyton at the club, wrote an entire book about Peyton and then was pissed that Lindsay thought that was a big deal and to top it all off he STILL DOESN'T SEE THAT HE LOVES PEYTON and drags Lindsay through a proposal (with the ring meant for Peyton!!) and a wedding (for which he invited TWO EX GIRLFRIENDS) even though literally everyone in his life told him that he still loves someone else. ugh that had to be said, sorry. So my ranking still goes S3 > S7 > S9 > S4 > S5 > S6 > S2 > S1 >S8 - but S4,S5 and S6 are reeeeaaaaaally close together. I think S6 has a similiarity to S5 in the sense that it has a few extremely great storylines and just one storyline that makes my eyes roll (which in S5 was Lucas's treatment of his love interests).

Don't get me wrong I love their teenage years and we got some extraordinary growth and exploration there, but the adult years now (starting with season 5) really showcase that our leading ladies are about so much more than punching cheerleaders and getting into messy love triangles. They are grown-ass women now and they have careers and dreams and adult issues that they deal with. Sure, their love lives are still an important part of who they are, but we get to shift focus here a bit more and see them grow outside of all of that too. I think that's especially true for Brooke. Sure, she had stories outside of Lucas/Peyton in the first few seasons too (I especially loved her becoming student council president and the start of her clothing line), but she was very involved in the love triangle of it all and that just sometimes took away from exploring other parts of her life. Now that she's a grown-up and fully over the whole Lucas drama, she can realize her dreams and find success and fall short on both too and you get to see how strong and empathetic she is and how the experiences she had in high school shaped her to be independet, confident and smart. She also kept her big heart, no heartbreak could destroy her ability to be open and vulnerable and extremely loyal to her friends. That's why we love her so much.

2020-07-06 09:56:28 +0000 UTCAbout Brucas: Yes, Juli. You aren’t crazy. There are definitely underlining tones in Brooke and Lucas’ scenes and it’s been happening throughout the entire season so far. Not gonna spoil anything of course, the thing is, Brucas had a large fan base at the time and the show runner would address this in interviews how loud and vocal the Brucas fans were and so they would purposely write in things that were very suggestive in order to give us hope that maybe one day they would come back to that relationship. It was straight up Brucas bait. Whether that will happen or not is another story but you’re absolutely right about those scenes.

I think that may be part of his extreme attitude this episode because I think that we have seen him start to mature in other ways (doing better in school, being more respectful). But I do think that Q pushing Nathan was so necessary. He may have been a bit harsh but Nathan gave up too easily when he was doing bad. If he is going to make a comeback, I think Nathan needs to be pushed.

Im not sure of the specific episode but it was in the beginning of the season, when Lucas was talking to Jamie and he gave him a postcard of where Karen was currently visiting and Jamie had a map on his wall and all the postcards that Karen sent to him were placed in the spots they visited. Just wanted to clear a lil confusion up for you on that part.

I absolutely LOVE the relationship between Q and Nathan, which will be seen more throughout the rest of the season! And also between Q & Jamie- it’s so cute!! Brooke is so amazing for taking in that little girl until she has surgery. This season is when Brooke became my favorite character, and her growth during the rest of the series is just incredible to watch! I’m so glad Haley is making an album with Peyton... she really deserves it! Nanny Deb is here lol😁

Uncle Tom is a very racist name to call a black person, especially when it is being said to you by another black person. It basically means calling someone a traitor, a traitor to their black culture, and being okay with being a slave to white folks which is why he said "Master Lucas". So....yea if Q wasn't his student Skills was bout to lay him out lol.
