One Tree Hill 6x02 FULL REACTION

Comments

to are super hero q fields

This episode and the next broke me...worst death on the show. He was funny and adorable, such a kind soul. and was so close to the Scott family, he had a special bond with J Luke, Mrs HJS and his boy Nathan Scott. If only Nathan stayed to play one more game like Q wanted or yes Skills talking to him that night instead of waiting until tomorrow. I so wanted to see Q also grow up and make it the Mba with Nathan.

I remember this episode broke my heart😭

I saw this comment and had to pause to think if I felt the same way, and I do. This is by far the saddest death in the show for me. It’s amazing how they got us to give a damn about Q so intensely and feel the pain of the other characters that we love so much. This one definitely hurt the most.

Nathan

My heart breaks everytime I watch this episode. I hated that they killed Q... it was just so sudden and seemed unnecessary at the time. He was doing so well and turned into a great guy 😭 I also agree that Peyton should have noticed that it was obvious brooke didn't fall down the stairs, like come on!? She had literal fingerprints round her neck and arms. I hated that they made it seem Peyton didn't care or was oblivious... but really I just think it's bad writing and Peyton would have reacted differently but they wanted it this way for Brooke's path she goes down the next few episodes... but yeah this episode is so sad and next one even more 😭

Nikki

that’s what makes this episode so hard is that they’re all expecting to see him tomorrow

i’m crying again. i used to casually watch oth when i was really young with my sister and two scenes always stuck in my head, the limo going over the bridge, and the quentin getting shot. it’s so sad honestly, and i used to have the biggest fear of going into gas stations, it’s just so sad

As for Peyton's reaction when she came home to Brooke, it was incredibly insensitive for her to laugh about it. But I also understand her not wanting to pressure Brooke by asking too many questions with all that Peyton herself has been through and how she handles stuff like that. She could probably tell that Brooke wasn't honest about the situation, but I'm not mad at her for not seeing what had really happened to her.

Anna

I don't blame Peyton for not realizing something was wrong with Brooke, I blame Mark. Just like I blame him for many things in season 4 regarding Brooke's behavior that I consider out of character. It makes no sense that a woman sees another woman beaten to the point of getting two black eyes and obvious finger marks in her throat and believes her tale of falling down the stairs, let alone the fact that Peyton knows Brooke well and her behavior should be extremely alarming.

Dove

I see that in order to defend Peyton people are talking about the times that Brooke wasn't there for Peyton however, those times were all in high school, years ago. You can't use someone's HS/childhood years against them in adulthood. They were young, immature and still learning. In adulthood, Brooke has been there 100% for peyton, all through season 5. Im not personally mad at peyton btw. Peyton can't read brooke's mind. Perhaps she could be more observant but peyton is trying to be there for her.

To me, Q's death was the most shocking in the show, even more so than Keith's. Both came so out of the blue, yes, but with Keith there was always this tention between him and Dan and even though I never expected Dan to actually kill his own brother, you could tell he wasn't just gonna let things go with all that happened in the past between them. But with Quentin it hits so much harder because he was so young, he changed so much from where he started. He had his whole life ahead of him and so much that was left undone. It really did come out of nowhere and it makes me cry how Jamie, Nathan and Skills all made these plans about seeing Q the next day, thinking they had all the time in the world with him.

Anna

I felt really bad for Brooke, honestly I don’t blame Peyton for not realising when no one else has, Haley didn’t either. I also remember Peyton going through a lot of her trauma alone or just with Lucas. With no Haley or Brooke or anyone else. They turned Quentin into such an amazing character and then they took him from us. I’ll never forgive the show for that.

Claudio Cristovao

Also people acts like Brooke was always there for Peyton but actually she was not. When Peyton lost Ellie, Brooke waited high school to hug her. When Peyton had drugs issues, Brooke was all long with Felix even though she saw Peyton was not okay. When Peyton got attacked, she said nasty comments about that. If you rewatch the show deeply, it’s obvious Peyton got a lot of crappy things and did all by her owns ! Not justifying Peyton’s behavior but obviously Peyton could not have guessed the situation happening here. But she obviously is feeling something is off w/ Brooke.

Enzo

Honestly I get that everyone is pissed at Peyton for not knowing it wasn’t just falling at stairs, I was too. But that’s not only Peyton. Where is Haley in all that? All the people in this town just pretend that she falls in stairs and got all these blue eyes but okay ?!? So OUT of character

Enzo

Saddest death in OTH for me ! So unfair

Juliette

I don't agree with the first comment. Peyton was kind of horrible here. Even if she believed Brooke, for her to laugh at it is not okay. And I believe she just wanted to believe Brooke because she was on her Lucas high and didn't want drama

Asaunte

It makes me so sad every time I rewatch this episode & realize that we really do take life for granted. Jamie making Q a cape, Skills saying he’ll be able to talk to him tomorrow, and Nathan leaving early & making plans for a morning practice. Q’s death hit me the hardest in the show :( My Brooke🥺 I think Peyton knows Brooke was lying to her about what happened, but didn’t want to put too much pressure on her to talk about it. Don’t really agree with her tho. I wish she would’ve at least tried to have Brooke open up even a little bit.

heather

God this episode is so eerie and hard to watch while knowing what’s coming. Three scenes back to back with the mention of Quentin and the absolutely certainty in which they speak that they will wake up the next day and see him again. Jamie with the cape. Nathan for his morning practice. Skills wanting to talk to him. It’s so tragic and it makes me so emotional every time. We truly take life for granted.

Nathan

Yep here we go....this is a death that traumatized me as a first watcher i'm telling you right now...Q's connection with Jamie is adorable, and they really made it a point to put it at the forefront lol which is pretty cruel...

Lucas

Pain 😔

Angel Flores

the TEARS in this and the next episode. they really said welcome back be ready to cry.

Kayla

I have to say that I don't think Peyton should be shamed here. Yes, she is in her bubble with Lucas right now. But, she did come back to stay with Brooke and asked her what happened. Brooke said she fell down the stairs. Should Peyton have known that that wasn't the truth? Maybe/Debatable. But, she isn't the only one who didn't catch on. Also, I'm saying this because I noticed you said that Brooke was always there for Peyton. And while I absolutely love Brooke now and think that this is a terrible and awful experience. When Peyton first got attacked by Derek, Brooke was not there for her at all. I know the stuff with Lucas was happening, but I found that to be irrelevant at that time. Even though Peyton didn't catch on to the fact that Brooke was lying, she was still there for her and stayed and talked with her. I think people might think that it's insensitive of Peyton to be happy for herself when Brooke is going through this. But, once again, she doesn't know the real reason. Also, Peyton has had years of sadness. I think she deserves to soak up her happiness. She can do this as well as empathize with and be there for Brooke. And in my opinion, that's exactly what she does.
