''He gives and he takes away.'' Those were Belly's thoughts about Conrad last season when she picked Jeremiah over him. Conrad kind of does this every season, in s1 when they almost kissed and he pretended it didn't happen, in s2 when he told her he had feelings and took it away the next morning, and then here when he said he loves her and tried to take it back the next morning yet again, only this time Belly didn't let him. Him consistently doing this seems to be what triggers her the most, and I believe it's a huge reason for why she keeps not choosing him. Going back and forth and the emotional whiplash isn't the kind of love she wants for herself, but sadly it's the kind of love Conrad keeps offering.
