FULL METAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD | Anime Watch Party!

I can't wait to watch you experience this show! One of the greatest entertainment I've experienced in any medium. It just gets better and better as it goes. I also agree with the commenter above that the dub is EXCELLENT. And thats coming from someone who prefers subs 95% of the time. Travis Willingham's performance especially is incredible. Both versions are of course excellent though!

I love this anime so much! Personally I think the English dub is even better than the subs, and that is an accomplishment! Of course you can watch whichever you prefer, I'm just happy that you're getting into it!

duuude do not be sorry about being more quiet to pay more attention, you'll be glad you did xD it took me a couple watches to pick up on every little intricacy of the plot. everything about this show is so complex, which is honestly the reason it's my favorite. it may sound a bit overdramatic, but this anime genuinely helped me shape some of my spiritual views.

I can't wait to watch this. FMA is probably my favorite anime/manga and it's gonna be so exciting to see you watch it for the first time! I hope eventually I'll be able to catch at least a few lives but my work schedule does not make that easy unfortunately. Okay just watched it and love how into it you are. Seeing someone react to everything for first time when I know the whole show is so fun. I love this show so I'll try to be brief and will definitely not spoil since this show has basically no fillers. The mangaka knew exactly what story she wanted to write so there are very few plot holes at all. One big thing that will help you understand this world better is to remember that alchemy isn't magic in Amestris. It is a science and based in scientific theories. So alchemists don't actually 'summon' anything they are transmuting things into other things- that's why when Ed creates his weapons the ground gets a hole in it or his whole automail changes shape. That's why equivalent exchange is such a big deal. Like early scientists like Newton considered themselves alchemists- just think of physics where matter can't be created nor destroyed. Alchemy isn't like the bending in like Avatar the Last Airbender. Also just think of the alchemists names more akin to callsigns like fighter pilots have- it can tell you a bit about what type of alchemy they focused on but also can be related to the person themselves, like Ed's alchemist military name is playing on the fact that he has a metal arm and leg. Also Fuhrer is the title of the leader of Amestris and King Bradley is the name of the current Fuhrer (it's confusing but his first name is King.) Can't wait for more and so happy you are enjoying it!
