Lucifer 4x08 FULL REACTION

Comments

Super Bad Boyfriend- I really want to express my thoughts to you about Lucifer and his feelings towards why he doesn't like how Chloe sees him either. It isn't because he doesn't like the version of him that she sees... Lucifer wants to be good. He loves the version of himself he is with Chloe. Because he's truly happy, and he loves her. So he's happy with her. Which is why Lucifer chose to come back into the light in the previous episode by turning Tiernan in instead of hurting him, or worse. Because he wants to be good. And this is why Chloe sees him as a good man and as an angel. And Lucifer really is a good man, and not just deep down, and others see him as such too. Amenadiel, Linda, Ella, and Dan too, even though Dan isn't in the right frame of mind right now to see the good in Lucifer. However, Lucifer hates that Chloe sees him this way, because he doesn't. Lucifer hates himself because he sees himself as a monster and by Chloe seeing him as something more than what he can see in himself, Lucifer feels that her feelings towards him are nothing more than a lie. And Lucifer just doesn't know how to cope with these feelings. To Lucifer... he is a monster and has been seen as such for several millennia, or since the beginning of time. And he's only finally come to understand this at last. And it's so heartbreaking. The ending between Lucifer and Linda inside her office is so, so sad and my heart breaks for him. This moment in the very end is also another one of Tom Ellis' most powerful moments in regards to his acting abilities. Wow! Every time I watch this scene, I always feel such a punch to the gut when Lucifer reveals that he truly hates himself. Tom Ellis excels with showing Lucifer's emotions, and I feel so badly for him. My heart breaks for Lucifer, and I absolutely love Tom Ellis for his scenes that are just as powerful as this one is!!! :) I absolutely love this overall story arc for Lucifer this season! And I cannot wait for you to see these final two episodes within season four!! Also... I do not believe Lucifer loves Eve, and never has loved her. He certainly has never told her so either. Eve only took his revelation of the prophecy to her in the wrong way. It's been very, very clear that Lucifer has been uncomfortable around Eve ever since she's come back into his life. Yes... they have had fun together both in the past and in the present, and he has allowed himself to become what she wants him to be, but it's only because he has been feeling like he's had to be what she loves about him. Because deep down... how Eve sees him, is how he sees himself. When it's not truly who he really is. Lucifer doesn't believe he's good enough for Chloe and that she won't ever accept him for who he truly is because she is still afraid of him because he's the Devil. And Chloe hurting him such as she has has truly broken him. And now... Eve has told Lucifer that she accepts him for being the man that even he believes he is, when he isn't. And she of course believes him to be the carefree, reckless, and even dangerous Devil, and she loves this side of him too. So, it's understandable that Lucifer would stay with Eve for so long, thinking that she is the only person who could ever love him for who he believes is all he is. Especially when he and Chloe have been struggling so much ever since she's discovered the truth about Lucifer truly being the Devil. Since Chloe couldn't accept him for a while. All in all... Lucifer just wants Eve to be happy, even though he's been making himself feel miserable in their relationship. And his kind and loving words to her about the kind of woman he sees her to be in the end really prove that he does care about her. A lot of fans of this show tend to blame Lucifer for being to cold and harsh with Eve when he breaks up with her. But I don't feel this way. Lucifer certainly went about trying to break up with her in all the wrong ways throughout the middle of this episode, and he hurt her too in order to try to make her want to break up with him. Which is wrong. However, Lucifer tried so hard to let her down as gently as he could to try to avoid hurting her. Eve is the one who has refused to even try to understand him. I'm not blaming her, but Lucifer needed to be harsh with her in order to finally get her to see sense. To help her to listen and understand him. So what comes about now is all on her. Thank you for another great reaction, Julie! Sincerely, Heidi

maze is perfect for eve literally the rush of hurting a bad person that she wants lucifer to be is literally maze

fry

what an episode - this is what the netflix season do even better than the previous ones, they focus on every character equally and give them important situations to grow and evolve. Maze finally understanding that she deserves to be seen as her whole self, Eve finally starting to focus on self-worth, Lucifer finally being honest about his fears and moving past his denial, Dan finally seeing the light about how wrong he's been dealing with Charlotte's death, Amenadiel seeing the rotten parts of humanity and drawing his own sad conclusion without losing his empathetic self. It was brilliant! I can't praise it enough.
