i almost forgot to leave my comment but since you were asking- usually the finale songs especially become really popular. they are not the debut songs, and usually one ends up being more popular than the other and because it was made for produce like rumour and so on, the group that's made usually take those songs and perform as the full chosen group. so if you recognise the songs, it probably is because iz*one were able to make those finale songs as iz*one.

Something that REALLY annoys me is that after they spent 90% of Goeun's screentime on the show to push the "rivalry" with Yuri, they didn't even bother to show her even once during the goodbye scene.. Just makes it even more obvious they were only using her for their fabricated drama. I didn't even realize Goeun was super close to Chaewon and Chaeyeon until I watched the show through a 2nd time (and saw behind the scenes footage). They could have spent more time on showing those friendships.. Literally anything other than forcing a rivalry with bad editing that made both Yuri and (especially) Goeun look worse to some people.. Anyway small rant over, can't wait to watch you cry during the finale buddy <3

Nayoung was in HF but they revealed the lineup for the new gg and she wasn't part of the group pic, so I guess she moved onto somewhere else unfortunately.

Well, she and Miho got a bit greedy. It's not inherently a bad thing per se, but when it becomes obvious they're not suited for the role they chose, and yet they're still continuing to go for it, it kinda rubs me the wrong way. I always felt that Miyu was going for too much for every evaluation, and, sadly, I don't think she ever performed a song as it should have been performed. She looked like a really sweet girl though. MNet's editing doesn't help though, of course...

Nayoung is also rumored to be at HappyFace now, so she may debut with Sian in the near future! :) Do Ah debuted in the group FANATICS, but they're not doing well at all. It's a shame really :( Just a little heads up for the final episode though : In case you didn't already know, there was vote manipulation by MNet for the very final ranking. The court has ruled that two IZ*ONE members were rigged in (replacing two girls who had a final ranking of 5th and 6th). This means that, in the end, those two who should have made it into the group got more votes than 8 of IZ*ONE's members. It's crazy. We also know that the final ranking order was altered to make it more dramatic (I mean, you'll see, it IS very, VERY good TV...). One last thing : as the final rankings were scrambled to make the show more dramatic, the IZ*ONE members who got ranked at 5th and 6th are not necessarily the ones who were swapped in. We'll never know for sure, but we DO know who got pushed out unfairly, as it's also been announced by the court (as for other vote manipulation cases across the Produce series). Not trying to spoil anything, it's still a very enjoyable episode! But we'll finally be able to talk about that situation freely afterwards ! It's so unfortunate for all trainees who got dragged in that whole mess, as it's obviously not their fault at all.

I think the part selection in this episode is where the "competition over performance" aspect of Produce is really at its worst. Allowing the contestants to choose their own parts was a trap and Miyu fell right into it. I like Miyu but she's not at all suited to be the main vocalist for that song. She overestimated herself, made a bad choice and then didn't really have a good way to back down from it. I mean, all the best vocalists got pushed down into the lower sub-vocalist parts. I really wish they would have stuck to the standard method of having the group itself distribute the parts. That way the better vocalists would have generally gotten the most appropriate parts. Anyways, enough of that rant. I'm looking forward to the finale and getting to discuss the final rankings.

I think your views would be different if you watched the show without knowing izone. I watched this without knowing them and even I didnt want some of the izone members to be in top 20, I wanted other trainees I grew to like more. Also for the final lineup at the time for certain girls I wasnt happy with the results especially the fact that there was only 3 japanese trainees chosen in a 12 member group for a show that is supposed to be a combination of japanese and koreon trainees. Twice is even a more international group then izone ended up being and they have less members🤦🏻‍♀️I was particularly upset Kaeun, Chowon and Miru didnt make it and other girls I wanted to be in the group but they got eliminated earlier. Also how you felt about Haeyoon for the 20th spot is how I felt for Nayoung I really wanted Nayoung to get the 20th spot but it is what it is. Either way now everyone knows the produce series was rigged sadly. Now I love the current izone members but there was definitely a lot of regrets in the beginning I remember lots being upset about the final lineup. I only ever feel those regrets again when I rewatch produce48😂

Bcs it is unevitably part of the show and especially more apparently in this episode along with the context of popularity of some of the girls. Lachie's surprise over some of the rankings makes it apparent too. If you don't feel like thinking about it then just don't read it and problem solved honestly.
