No it isn't weird. I use to babysit a kid and he had a huge crush on me I was 16 and he was 10. He would hug me, give me notes etc. It's just kids being kids I wouldn't read into too much.

Yeah don't compare seddie to slavery which was a real historical thing that happened for hundreds of years that still has consequences that are being dealt with today by millions of people today. I don't care what you ship or how you feel about icarly in general to be honest but when you compare a fictional couple on a kids show from ten years ago to a real life human event, it's like you're saying the real life implications of each thing are the same and minimizing slavery which is important not to do even if it technically ended years ago because we as a society are still living in the aftermath of that time period. I understand the point you were trying to make, but that wasn't the way to make it ❤️

Yes, I hate abusive relationships. And it’s not okay to act like it’s a good thing. A lot of people loved having slaves too, but that doesn’t make it any less wrong. I have absolutely zero problems with people who ship a healthy take on the relationship. But the one that we see in the show proper is disgusting and should never be defended. It gives off a terrible message, especially for people who are or have been in abusive relationships themselves.

i think i stopped watching the show after this cause it pissed me off. I have seen the other episodes maybe once? And i watched the one direction episode and the finale, but other than that, i just gave up on the show. So im curious to watch the rest with you, considering i've only seen the others once. Like you said the reason was dumb -- clearly they didnt want to end it. And they made it a big deal last episode how often they were going out and missing icarly, clearly showing how they had many interests together if they had so many dates. Also, Carly and Sam also have nothing in common but are best friends. I just think if the writers didnt wanna focus so much on their relationship, they could just have them together but not display it as much?? They don't need to make out every episode. They could've sprinkled the other episodes in between these ones and it wouldn't make a different, just change a few dialogue.

Honestly, this should've happened way sooner. Because it's very true that Freddie and Sam's relationship was just weird and wrong. It never actually changed. Sam still hurts and belittles Freddie unprovoked. They still argue and get on each other's nerves all the time. It wasn't an enemies to lovers story, it was an enemies as lovers story. And it was disgusting, unhealthy, and super toxic. The most toxic relationship to ever come out of kids show as a matter of fact. I was more than happy for this gross thing to finally be over. I am Team Freddie+Anyone but Sam for a reason.

Yeah, this was so ridiculous and random, especially considering they just said 'I love you' to each other. It'll always annoy me how they broke Seddie up out of nowhere, especially after everything that happened in the previous episode. Like... wasn't iCan't Take It about how Sam and Freddie were hanging out so much that it was interfering with iCarly?! CLEARLY THEY WERE HANGING AND DOING SOMETHING THEY HAD IN COMMON LOL!!! (A more NSFW theory that I had about the ending break-up scene was that they ended up being 'friends with benefits' and didn't tell anyone, I'm just going to assume that was true in my head lol!)

I think Sam and Freddie’s break up is ultimately a consequence of the format of these type of shows. Shows like these try not to shake up the status quo too much for too long. The producers could have felt that them being a couple would have limited any potential storylines for the characters, and it shifted the characters’ dynamic too much for their liking. I don’t like that they did it, but I understand why they did it.

I also find this breakup so ridiculous because Sam and Freddie have been shown to love multiple things that the other loves, namely boxing and this has been mentioned multiple times. Despite me loving hearing them say I love you finally this breakup still irks me smh. Also, I too love Gibby and Carly, especially because Gibby liked her when they were younger.
