Love these reactions, I’m glad someone’s finally reacting to this!! Can I just ask do you have a schedule for releasing episode? Is it once a week or once a month or just whenever?

I agree from the aspect of like Dawson and the other kids, but I kind of side with Grams on it. Like you Juli, I am a parent and if my daughters were sleeping around at 19, I may not agree with it but I would respect that it's their life and choice and their bodies. But I feel as a parent if they were sleeping around with numerous guys at 14, I have an obligation to step in and say 'This is not appropriate behavior' and to be a parent (or a grandparent/guardian in Grams case) and have an opinion on their behavior.

The rules only apply to everyone but him. “Dont ever lie to me” and as soon as people tell him the truth he immediately lies out his ass right back to them all lol.

2021-12-18 01:41:53 +0000 UTCmy theory on that is that they tried way too hard to make Dawson seem innocent. He had no edges or layers - what you see is what you get. Pacey, Jen and Joey on the other hand you can tell that they have a rich character history and that they have different sides to them. Also, Dawson isn't very introspective, he doesn't see his own flaws or how his perspective can be hurtful to somebody else. The others are more empathetic in that way.

2021-12-15 13:13:00 +0000 UTCEven back then I was pissed off at Dawson and I was 11 when I first watched this show. I guess because I used to see Friends and it never was a big deal there. I'm so glad you said Jen seemed more mature because Michelle Williams is the youngest member of the cast, she was just 16 while filming season 1 but she just brought that weight of someone who has lived a little more which is so incredible because in real life she was the most introverted and shy. I really love Jen and Joey and Pacey too.

I know he's a teenage boy and that all of this took place in the 90's when things were different, but it's just not a good enough excuse for his behavior and his lack of respect for Jen and Joey in this episode. I feel that Joey, Pacey and Jen are characters that aged well over time, so why isn't Dawson?! He made this show really cringy to sit through for me. BUT my love for Pacey and Joey as individual, interesting characters, kept me going. Hope they'll be able to keep you interested in the show as well! :)
