KINGDOM Episode 2 | REACTION

BtoB used to be one of the frontrunners for entertainment in their early days so I love that reactors are being able to see that side of them in Kingdom. They're truly legends already! I'm a tad bit more attached to iKON b/c I followed them since pre-debut (BtoB didn't do a survival show or anything so I've followed them only since debut) while they were going through WIN and Mix and Match so there's just a bit more of an emotional connection there even if their music wasn't always my thing. It makes me really, really happy to see all the younger artists fanboying over iKON and BtoB. It's seriously my favorite thing. I don't care about the competition (I don't even vote) I'm just enjoying the stages and the group interactions.

This first vote was unfair anyway. Most of us older kpop fans voted for the older groups out of solidarity and a lot of the Bandwagon kpop fans didn't want to vote for Ateez.

I don’t mean this in a bad way to btob and sf9 at all, because what I’m saying is nothing to do with talent but I think the reason they got so high was because everyone had to vote for 3 groups otherwise their votes weren’t counted, so a lot of people gave them their votes because they are less known which boosted them a lot. If you look at it they only had 70k voters for them each but they had over 530k votes from fans of other groups, and if you compare it to stray kids they had 610k votes from stays but they only had 80k votes from fans of other groups. The reason ikon got 6th wasn’t surprising to me because they are popular but ikonic’s are known to be bad at voting so they only had 130k votes from ikonics and they had a lot more votes from non fans 359k but sadly it wasn’t enough so they placed last. However ranking is nothing to do with how good the group is, they’re all amazing and no group deserves last, it’s all about personal opinions as long as people respect all groups then it’s cool because every single one of them are so hard working it’s insane

In my opinion those performances took everything that is bad and combined it kinda. Like i was excited but it feels like a let down. The sound in BTOB's one did not match once the more clasically asian elements appeared imo. Ikon's didnt look like a coherent performance but more of a relay. I also didn't find anything really engaging and new in TBZ performance. In short - it all lacks personality bcs everyone is trying to outdo others and themselves. Which makes it all kinda sadly like wasted money and effort. Im not their fan so they could break a sweat and wave with props but bcs i want to see THEM. And if they can dance, sing and rap while at it, that is great, but i cant even see them when they over-combine the performances. Pick one dominant element and build on it.

I think I also feel the disconnect and it's because of all the Spectacle, I feel like I can't hardly see the actual idols. Just for an example with another group, my favorite group going into RTK was ONF and I had the most complaints with their <3rd mission/censored for spoilers> performance bc to me there was too much going on and too many backup dancers so I couldn't focus on them the way I could in the earlier rounds. In Kingdom so far, although they are the group I know the least about I'm actually really appreciating how Ikon have done their performances--even with the latest where they did more Stuff it still wasn't overwhelming.

I thought iKON killed it! They did great. But maaaaaaaaaaaan BTOB made me tear up because of their performance. That was just...a masterpiece (this is my emotional side speaking haha). It was beautiful. By far my favorite so far.

I don't think you sounded like a b.tch. I have been trying to understand my disconnect with The Boyz. I think they're great but some reason I don't find myself loving their performances. I kind of wonder if it's how you feel. I will say the ONE thing I DID notice is they actually had way more live vocals compared to Road to Kingdom in this performance. That's the one part that impressed me a bit with this performance. Also I noticed during their dance practice one member standing off to the side practicing alone, not as intense. Was someone injured again? Is this an on going theme because they do such intense performances? Is it worth it? :/ The last thing I want to see is one of them become severely hurt and ruin their career.

Please don't think I'm hating on them. I just want to talk honestly in here be ause I think we are mature enough on this Patreon to be able to actually talk to each other. (I'm German btw so I probably sound like a bxtch... Apparently most of us do when we use English so I kind of feel like I have to apologize in advance for sounding rude to others.)

I am less excited for The Boyz everytime I see them. They feel less and less like actual People to me and more and more like performance robots. I would have preferred if they did bloom bloom and that's my least favorite title track of theirs but at least they could actual have fun on stage. I think performances like the one they did in ep 2 would be great if it's only expert voting even though they start to... Not to bore me but... Idk how to explain it... I get less and less attached to them and others seem to have similar problems. When I thought about TBZ I used to have so many different aspects of theirs flash in my mind but now it's just... Stunt, stunt, stunt, stunt... Also... I'm actually getting pissed at them about Sunwoo. Even if he wants to do all the shit he's fucking terrified of, the company should tell him no because it can severely affect his health in the long run!

I really loved all of these stages. I appreciate that all of these groups are working incredibly hard to give us amazing performances. The Boyz stage was a treat for for the eyes, iKON’s mash-up was excellent and they gave 110%, and BTOB has blessed my ears yet again. Very excited to see Stray Kids, Ateez, and SF9 next week! ❤️

I did not expect those rankings at all. Woooow. Btw where The Boyz went to go underwater, I'm pretty sure that's where A.C.E did their underwater photos! I looks really similar (but who knows - maybe underwater photo studios look similar xD).
