Hey Bliss - about "art" Your comparison of art and fashion is missing some significant elements - I only want to consider the two most important aspects to "art" here. Firstly, so much art has broken down the "projection" of a message - and one that is often socially revolutionary (Manet). Art has long been in conversation with the people involved - Manet, Le Dejeurner sur l'herbe (a naked model with her clothed friends - in control not rape-y) Felix Gonzalez-Torres, gogo boy (absence longing the decimation of an era due to AIDS - work that brings me to tears). And finally, Art is either good okay bad. There are many aspects to a work of art that make it work or not. Just that this has never been a matter of one discipline (fashion or the stuff that you put on the wall floor sky...) being better than the other. Because there is no "art" but there is work that is good okay bad and many times out of this world. Oh and there is James Blake and Antony and the Johnsons.- grin
