Manwol hasn't died yet, it was I think episode 2 or 3 when Mago said she was tied to the tree and the flow of time and life has stopped for her. So no, she hasn't died yet. That's why she can neither go to the afterlife or live normally in the human realm.

This episode wrecked me the first time I watched it. The twist in the flashback caught me off guard. And when Man Wol had to watch Yeon Wu's execution, that's so messed up and heart breaking that I actually bawled my eyes off. Even now, after some rewatch, I still tear up during that scene. 😢 Regarding the thing about Man Wol seeing the soldiers' ghosts, was Man Wol still alive or dead already, I want to answer this just based on the information provided from previous episodes without any spoilers but I don't know if you want me to or you want to figure that out by yourself. I'm gonna leave it here for now, but do let me know if you want me to answer that! Also, this reaction came faster than I thought lol. And you at the end there was such a mood haha, that's why I ended up binging this show in one day, cause I just couldn't stop myself to watch the next one everytime I reached the end of each episode. 🤣 Now let me just get some more snacks and go right onto the Episode 9 reaction~!

I’m about to stay up late bingeing this with you 😂
