Wardrobe Tour: All the Weird Stuff 👀

Miscellaneous items from my personal wardrobe. We're either preparing to leave for mens week or we're there already! None of this would be possible without you all. I can't thank everyone enough. Do me a favor, if you read this, just comment and tell Daniella that you hope her stomach feels better soon :( She's kinda going thru it atm.

Deeply grateful for all of you,

Wardrobe Tour: All the Weird Stuff 👀

if you’re trying to tell horn and plastic buttons apart without a ton of work if you tap them with your nail and listen to the sound you can usually tell. it takes a bit of practice to learn what it should sound like but if you test it on stuff you know the material of it’s pretty easy to learn.

Mary Kennedy

by the way, if you have enough knitwear, i would love to see a knitwear episode :D

Coffee

no designer clothing (unless you count CDG play lol) but got this Shjark (NZ brand) silk-tencil pussybow blouse in a corn-silk colour. Super soft and machine washable - love an item that's both beautiful, incredibly soft and practical :)

Coffee

I mostly just wear samples from work lol, though I recently picked up a suit from the DTLA suit shops that I'm actually pretty stoked on for a ridiculously low price and a vintage silk shirt that I'm digging on. Both no name brands but I'm digging them.

Sampson Hill

Laura

Laura

Oddly enough a pair of Y Project baggy swat shorts on sale from antidote! I remember you at an event in that hoodie hoodie & that was my intro to Y !

Rod Calvert

Daniella, I hope your stomach feels better soon :(

Patrick Skiffington

The last piece I was super excited about to find were Phoebe Philo era Celine heels: unfortunately not my size. They were 99.00 USD. Another item was a pair of Masahiro Maruyama frames I am saving up for.

Catherine Redpath

Omg, what area has Salvation Army locations with Rick?! (obviously this is wildly lucky but still) My best thrift find has been a Phillip Plein (I know, I know) T-shirt at Value Village for $8. It's hilarious wearing it knowing how much it retails for and how I'd never pay more than $20 for it. It has a giant skull in RHINESTONES.

My most recent purchase was a Song for the Mute black/white colourblock cupro button-up and SUNNEI black/white colourblock high-waisted jeans. The jeans have secret vented pockets behind the main front pockets! I also picked up a Danse Lente black/white colourblock purse to tie it all together. Just need shoes now!!!

Avery

Yes indeed!

I have just watched every single wardrobe video, amazing content as always! My last purchase that I am SO excited about is a vintage Y's leather coat. I have done a lot of research on it and we believe it's from 02/03 or 03/04. Just sucks that I gotta wait another three months before it gets cool enough to wear it but I am BUZZING!

Jez

No mallcore skinny jeans for guys? 2007 hot topic social collision stinger fit jeans: am I a joke to you? Last item that I was stoked on getting was the Rick Owens strobe f/w 22 furry pink gimp jacket. Can’t believe I found it at a Salvation Army for a complete steal.

Orion

My most recept purchase was actually two pairs of Shinya Kozuka baggy pants, thanks to you vouching for them. The feel of the fabric, fit and how nice the zipper is makes me want to be buried in them lol... they're the comfiest pants I've ever owned. Your knowledge and videos have helped open my eyes to new designers that deserve more recognition. Keep it up as long as you like!

Alice Estelli

Zegna 3-piece suit, dead stock. They don't make OTR 3 piece no more.... sorry for the flex.

Angus Kilgore

I pulled the trigger (after saving) on a Geoffrey B. Small heavy linen chevron blazer. By the way, I loved your interview video with Geoffrey, it's what turned me on to your channel/Patreon. I'm obsessed with GBS. Thanks for the content dude.

Matthew

surprised u dont own any rick.

Denali Casara

Black Bottega silk jersey high neck sleeveless dress with a single hidden button closure, layered asymmetrical tent knee length, and pockets! Marked down twice at a consignment store in Scottsdale Arizona. Found it late in my perusal and knew it was special, been soaring since. It’s a perfect companion for eating way too many tacos on a summer evening ✨

Brianna Johnson

Hi does anyone know where to find the discord link ?

Iris Burks

Daniella gonna crush that stomach bug 💪

Georges Kanaan

The last thing I grabbed is a pair of Y-3 cargo pants, and I'm obsessed with them. By the way, that Issey Miyake vest is GORGEOUS!

Bukfenc

Rick Owens shorts and the red Reebok/Margiela tabis

George Maniotis

Hi Bliss, will you be doing a wardrobe tour for jewelry and accessories? Would love to see that as well!

Morgan

Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone, what a touching story. I really love analyzing fashion and understanding the statements that the designers make, but stories like this are extra special :) Like you said, clothes are so personal that they will always have a really great story to them when we buy things in a considered way.

Not very recent, but in October I somehow found a Junya Watanabe ss 2003 parachute skirt on JP mercari for $33. It wasn’t the more popular style in the mermaid cut with the complicated belt matrix, though- it was one of the petticoat style gathered tea length skirts with parachute buckles around the waist. When I got it in hand I noticed the previous owner cut off the parachute buckle overlay it showed up on the runway with, but I didn’t even mind because the sheer volume and amount of fabric the skirt had was totally mind blowing to me. I’ve never worn a skirt with so much volume (mainly because I can’t really afford to purchase the voluminous pieces from designers I really look up to) and it really made something click in my head… also demonstrated Junya’s quality and attention to detail with the intricate pleating that gave the volume. The silhouette just changed my mind on my approach to how I like to dress- haven’t been able to wash it though… it’s all cotton but there’s so much fabric if I tried to handwash it myself it’d be like trying to wash a queen-sized bed sheet lol

A Ferragamo red shirt, the colour is so bright but that's what we want. Love Maximilian 😇

Hello Bliss, so loving the wardrobe tour & I think it’s a sign of the committed thoughtful person you are, that you stick to your principles and avoid fast fashion in spite of the basic need we all have to protect ourselves with clothes! My fabulous mind blowing purchase happened last May when I discovered a truly wonderful Aczzedine Alaia olive suede mid length peplum coat on Etsy from a lovely french lady who still lives in France and used to be a house model of his… it was my husbands present to me for my 60th birthday. This was a dream I’ve nurtured for 40 years as I used to sell Alaia in my very young days in fashion retail here in Melbourne Australia in the 1980’s but of course the leather pieces especially were too wildly expensive for a mere sales assistant to afford! So I messaged this lovely lady and she agreed to hold the jacket for me to pick up during our planned 8 week holiday to France & Italy literally 5 months after our first online conversation… anyway she came specially from her home near Bordeaux to meet us in Paris on the second day of our trip, where we spent a lovely morning chatting about our memories from those days peppered with her wonderful memories of Azzedine himself and of Christian Dior whom she also knew briefly through her own mother… I will treasure it an make it a family heirloom as when I can no longer wear this stunning example of his skill it will go to my daughter… Our clothes are next to our hearts so I believe we should treasure them make thoughtful purchases, and try and know their stories…🥰❤️🫶🏽

Your comments about your Edward Cumming suit reminded me of the Miyuki-zoku movement in Japan. Cool, personal, everyday suits should become "in" again! Also, feel better, Daniella!

Mark De Los Santos

Rake as a term for men was also used in the Regency Era (See Bridgerton) and it kind of meant a sexually active young unmarried gentleman

Grace Charlton

I can't believe the prices on your wedding suit story. A flight to my city, the airbnb, and the cost of the suit made by an old italian man including Loro Piana fabric would be less than 5K
