I just wanted to say a big thank you for your K-drama reactions. I’ve had a very bad month and needed an outlet and you helped to provide that. I have been following you on Youtube for a while for K-pop and saw that you were watching Goblin. That and Hotel del Luna were just what I needed to help get me through. I’ve seen both before and they are in my top 15 K-dramas of all time, so knew what to expect going in and that they would be perfect for my mood and I could watch without that K-drama list guilt (I have so much to watch, so why am I rewatching this again instead? 😂). It was particularly good to be able to watch and enjoy the dramas with someone else. Sadly, none of my family/friends will go near ‘foreign’ or subtitled films and dramas however good they are. Your reactions are always interesting, perceptive and entertaining, even if not always quite right – but then most of us made the same mistakes the first time of watching and missed some of the subtler clues K-drama likes to put in (like the Grim Reaper wearing a crown brooch in Goblin). I look forward to watching more dramas with you in the future. There are a couple you’ve done that I haven’t seen, and I'm excited to see what you choose next. Hopefully, some of my other favourites might make eventually the list 🤞.

I definitely think a neatly tied happy ending with a miraculous solution wouldn't have fit well into this story, mostly because of the way the story was told. No one else was given exceptions to having to move on, and the drama has in different ways tried to prepare us for this throughout. The sort of open ending is really nice in my opinion. Also, the Kim Soo Hyun cameo felt like sequel bait to me lol.

If there had been a "happy ever after" ending, I think it would have ruined a lot of what the drama was trying to convey the entire time. Especially the part about sometimes needing the strength to let go instead. Beautiful way to close things out, in my opinion.
