This movie was incredible and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man STOLE my heart!!!!!! I love Tobey! Don't get me wrong! But Andrew did such a fantastic job!!! His range as an actor is INCREDIBLE!
He is my favorite Spider-Man! I'm sorry, no disrespect to Tom and Tobey but man! Andrew did such a beautiful work with this two movies! So sad he didn't got a third one! He deserved to have his trilogy!
And that moment with Gwen destroyed me!! But I loved this film sm!!!

2022-05-08 22:56:01 +0000 UTCSo, Gwen's death is one of the most famous moments in comics and it actually gets referenced a lot in media. Especially Spider Man media. In the comics, Gwen died when she was pushed off a bridge by the Green Goblin which was referenced in SP1 when the Goblin threw MJ off. It's actually one of the few comic book deaths that was never retconned or brought back to life. It's such a pivotal moment in the Spider-Man mythos.

Also another thing Gwen Stacey is actually Peter’s first love in the comics, not MJ/Mary Jane. This films actually gives Gwen her comic accurate death.

2022-05-08 12:46:16 +0000 UTCI will say that you are somewhat correct about why a third movie was never made. The second film didn’t do as well as they thought it would do. On top of that, I believe they were starting to see a possibility of getting Spider-Man in the actual MCU and they wanted to go younger so essentially they just wanted to fire Andrew and go with someone younger and start a new trilogy instead of giving Peter a completed arc.

2022-05-08 06:36:05 +0000 UTCI've never had a favorite Spiderman actor. They are all good in my opinion. Like Tobey is the OG, Andrew is the best actor of the three (just was given the worst scripts), and Tom fits naturally with the style of the MCU.

Their relationship is simply one of the best on screen romance of any super hero film ever. The ending is the most heartbreaking scene, it kills me everytime 💔
