2022-05-24 16:04:24 +0000 UTCThank you for the reaction! I love Pacey and Andie they are my second favorite ship of the series. Now with Joey and Dawson.... I think Pacey actually touched on the idea with having a fantasy and for Joey that has always been Dawson. And because of that and how close they are it became "Joey and Dawson" rather than just Joey (her own person) who loves Dawson. I think her comment about Dawson as someone she see's herself with in the future says a lot. She's a 15 y/o girl who's life has been defined by her parents, sister, and love for Dawson. And that being with Dawson is what she she wants right now, but it also feels as though she is still being trapped in those defined parameters. Andie said it best in the beginning high school is a time for discovery and making memories (good and bad) that you reflect on. She also said to Bessie, she wishes she could talk to Dawson about what's going on but can't because he's her boyfriend. So this is a good time to unweave herself so completely from Dawson and grow relationships outside of him. And learn more about who she is without him.

I had to rewind and watch your reaction again and laughed so hard bc I had the same reaction 😂it’s not funny, it’s just funny how they filmed it!

I like Pacey and Andie but I have a bigger ship. But they are adorable though. As for Joey, I understand her but It must suck to be Dawson. I just feel like she never really wanted him, she liked the idea of him. He probably had what she wanted in life (his parents, a future set course, financial security, etc.) and though she does love him, what she wanted was actually what he had, not him. But that's my own reading of her character, not what I think the show is trying to say.

I personally think Joey made the best decision for herself because she truly does not know who she is outside of her friendship/relationship with Dawson and wants to find it out. Also Andie and Pacey are cute but that's all I'll say for now. Really excited for you to get into the later parts of this scene because some amazing stuff happens.
