If it matters, I've watched it with the subtitles and then again with English dub, and it actually was really good with the dub as it was mostly recorded by the same actors and it didnt feel different almost at all! Just in case that helps ;-)

2022-05-25 18:53:22 +0000 UTCThe background for this show. The show is based of a webcomic that was then published into a graphic novel. Alice Oseman wrote a book about Tori (Charlie’s sister). Then Alice decided they wanted to expand on the backstory of some of the characters thus Heartstopper was created. Not only did Alice write & draw her own comic and get it published into a graphic novel, she also was given the chance to write the first episode and proved to be too good and ended up writing every single episode of the first season. I think it just shows when you have queer creators who care about the material you get a wonderful show like this.

It's just finished airing (I sobbed the whole finale lol) and its just a really amazing character and relationship driven show. Twists and turns along the way that keep you on your toes, but just incredible characters that really carry the show through 6 amazing seasons. They had planned what the finale was going to be (and what they wanted to happen throughout the whole show) since the very beginning and it shows. You have heaps of shows on at the moment but just a recommendation based on what other shows you seem to like :)

2022-05-25 05:24:08 +0000 UTCalso about Young Royals, i get what you're saying, bc English isn't my first language either, and i ended up just watching it in the English dub, but the good thing about the English dub for Young Royals is that it was recorded by the original actors, and it's not hard to watch like other dubs (ahem Elite's dub). but i completely understand if you decide to just not watch it :)

I had originally wanted to check out the graphic novels first, but then I watched some clip and decided I couldn't wait. I constantly have to pause because I'm freaking out so much lol I don't know about a ship name, but obviously I love Charlie and Nick! I watched for like five minutes and immediately said I would protect them at all costs lol They are so precious!
