Nick's entire arc was beautiful!! For this season to end with him been able to come out to his mom was perfect! For him to scream that he has a boyfriend while carrying Charlie in his arm was the most romantic thing I have ever witness!!!!!
They ruined all the ships for me! My standards are so high rn!!! lol
Thank you to everyone who recommended me this show! You guys are incredible!!!!

ben and charlie had weirdly strange chemistry, to the point where i thought (until ep 2) that they were gonna be together at the end (i didnt know the plot of the show lol). So if they are dating in real life, that makes so much sense haha. If not, they work well together as a couple (even a toxic one)

2022-05-31 06:13:32 +0000 UTCI have to pause every reaction or the show itself when I watch the scene with Charlie and Tori because I cry so much. There was a time when I did think exactly like Charlie and had very bad depression. I blamed myself for everything and my first thought was always “How did I cause this?”. I still think like that sometimes… But I am truly grateful to Alice for included this into Charlie's character because when I look at Charlie's situation I immediately see that it is not Charlie's fault. And that, in return, made me realize that these situations are not my fault either, when I am in them. It truly helped me to see, that I shouldn't blame myself for everything.

2022-05-30 18:34:32 +0000 UTCThat is what I love about this show so much. It's so natural feeling. There is no forced storyline/plot, it literally feels like we are just following their lives. Because that is what happens when you write your characters so realistic and just right, like Alice did. For me, character-driven shows, movies, or books are so much better than a plot-driven story in which the characters feel forced into it. When a story has really authentic and well-written characters like Heartstopper does, there is no need for any greater plot or unnecessary drama. And the success of Heartstopper really shows that Alice accomplished that.

I think one of my favorite things that this show idoes is one, showing bisexuality in the correct way. Of Nick still finding himself, and making it VERY clear he likes BOTH. Along with Charlie, and his mental health struggles that comes from being bullied. Not many shows will touch on that aspect too much on lgbtq life. I mean, they do, but they don't make it a continual thing of ptsd, ect, like they do on Heartstopper. Another thing that makes it more perfect!
