Abby's death ultimately was at the request of the actress. The show was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina and the actress who played Abby was living in Los Angeles. Since she was not a consistent main character it made no sense for her to move to Wilmington so she was having to constantly fly back and forth between Los Angeles and Wilmington. Eventually she got tired of the travel and asked the writers to kill her off. I am sad to see her go because I enjoyed her. Yes she was a pain in the butt character but I liked the spice she brought to the show.

Weed lol and now it’s legal and no one freaks out about that kind of thing. They professionally call “drug dealers” “caregivers” where I live. It’s a legal thing so yeah lol

Every time I see her talking to andie outside dawsons house few eps back when the girls filmed for Gail, her lines make me tear up every time. And Good with one-liners. The girl ya love to hate. I just enjoyed her character. She brought out things in the others, some could say made them better because of it. Jen is wrecked at the end as you can see, and look forward to the next one about the funeral.
