I think you start to see the shift in the season in this episode. I guess Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams went to the network about them having Pacey and Jen hook up. They really didn't like where it was going with their characters. The show runner left after season 2 and there was a lot of upheaval in the beginning of season 3. Them going to the network made them figure out and get a new show runner.

2023-02-02 21:48:13 +0000 UTCthis is such a fun episode! i love pacey and joey denying to themselves they have some feelings for each other and later overreacting about dawson/pacey&jen lmaooo, speacially miss josephine. the dance lady telling they're in the "early stages of some screwball mating ritual" and their faces was hilarious, and yep, couldn't agree with her more!

I just love the subtleness of Pacey longing for Joey and not even realizing and Joey being jealous/overreacting to seeing Jen/Pacey and not even understanding why. I just love when two people sort of act like a couple without even realizing it and Pacey and Joey are basically doing that this entire episode. I also love this very small moment where Pacey asks Joey why she came back and she says Dawson convinced her and you can tell it got to Pacey a little bit and when he goes "Guess I owe him another one" it's a small moment of him feeling like damn she didn't come back for me and he's a little disappointed. Super excited for the rest of the season going forward, I feel like things really pick up after episode 12 so I'm hoping you can possibly get there today but either way I'm excited for more reactions from you for this show!
