Then you’d binge the next thing, or are you binging some but not to the end of season. I’m hoping it’s a multi day binge to reach end of S3 :)

2023-01-20 04:22:34 +0000 UTCI hate AJ attacking Little Women. He is a man so he decided to trash a beloved novel written by a woman about women ahd he used the women in the class to do it. And the women there were just purporting to be "feminists" while attacking Jo's choices. It's the idea that a woman can only have one type of choice to be fulfilled that is wrong, whether that choice is becoming a wife and a mother or working and staying single. He didn't even touch on the pressure behind Louisa May Alcott's choices for her characters. A real feminist would have known that and they would have known how brave Alcott was for the time she lived in. He shouldn't be heading a class if that's the way he does it. And the way he tried to embarrass Joey was just so dickish. Ugh. But I enjoyed everything else. I liked that we saw the better side of Andie and how Jack is slowly accepting himself. Dawson needs to learn to keep his ubris at bay but that's just Dawson.

The original had filler episodes cause they had 22-24 episodes each season so they had eps that didn’t really do much if anything for plot. But the new 10 episode season didnt really have that and is a example where a shorter season for a show like that works.

2023-01-20 00:29:50 +0000 UTCtbh regarding filler episodes honestly one of the reasons i don't agree with the sentiment that tv shows should go back to 24 episode seasons is because of all the filler and sidetracking of the main story lines. i think 24 episodes works for sitcoms for example and i think shows like the sex lives of college girls could benefit from more episodes but i generally think most seasons of shows like dramas and teen dramas only having like 10 episode seasons or whatever is fine to me. even with the newest season of hsmtmts for example it only had 8 episodes but the time management and the story lines were way better done than in season 2 and they had 12 episodes and that season felt like it dragged on. of course there's some problems when the episodes of a show aren't long enough or they don't plan for the story lines to fit in 10 (or less) episodes but that's more so the screenwriters problem more than how many episodes they are given bc they can make it work if they try.
