I don't think rikki is being dumb lol, but you can't expect him to just make a move on gina while he's dating nini that would be weird, and ginna approaching rikki and kinda flirting while he;s dating nini and him doing it back is also weird to me. I don't ship anyone like that so this isn't about me shipping nini and rikki, but I would feel bad for nini if something is happening while she's away.

2023-01-29 06:22:06 +0000 UTC@rosa le i agree with that for sure! i just wish they utilized her talents earlier in the season too, since - SPOILER BELOW - we rarely see her in season 3, i know they weren't planning on reducing her part (due to olivia being on tour), i'm just a little disappointed haha

It’s just that (like i already said) im not the biggest shipper/ lovetriangle person and that was 80% of season 3. yeah, there were some other good storylines as well (like the ashley one, or the madox one) but they were really small in compare to the love triangle. Season 2 just gave me more different stuff. I really enjoyed every storyline. And with the lovetriangles i mean (season 1 beginning: ej, nini, ricky) (the other half: gina, ricky, nini) (season 2: gina/ricky / nini… also kinda lili) (season 3 ej/ gina/ricky) it just got annyoing for me. I also kinda missed olivia / nini watching season 3. and the lack of seb and carols…but i still like season 3. i just preffer season 2. but everyone has different opinions

2023-01-27 02:53:52 +0000 UTCSPOILERS i definitely agree that most people here are rina shippers and that's part of the reason they don't like season 2 so much but that's not the main reason at least for me and other rina shippers i've interacted with. but i do agree i don't think people should be kind of teasing season 3 because it's easy to figure out why juli may like season 3 a lot like you said. the main complaints for season 2 that i've always listed and i've seen most ppl list is just because of the second half and what it entails even taking away rina. they dropped so many storylines or didn't finish them like ashlyn's insecurites, ej's relationship with his dad and duke to do portwell (that they waited to continue in s3 and still not make it his biggest storyline), lily and whatever they tried to do with her and ricky was pointless as well as the other new characters unlike the s3 characters. and the rivalry between schools ended up being nothing and so did miss jenn's pointless love triangle. the menkies and the rivalry ended up being for nothing when it was the overarching plot of the season. and yes portwell but even when it comes to s2 personally the main complaint i had in regards to rina wasn’t that they didn’t happen and portwell did (even though i think there were other ways to give gina the relationship experience she needed and to have ricky pine for her the same way she did for him that didn’t involve ej) but it was just the way they went about it. but for me personally when you compare that to s3 storylines that i personally really liked like ashlyn discovering her sexuality, kourtney’s anxiety storyline that wasn’t dropped like ashlyn’s insecurities in s2, maddox and jet’s introduction and their individual storylines and complicated relationship with each other, the frozen documentary that i thought was entertaining (i know not everyone liked it), gina being who her truest self because like she said in s3 neither gina 1.0 (s1) or gina 2.0 (s2) was really her and now she’s being her true self in s3 aka just gina and i loved that for her. and also of course i really liked ricky’s storyline. yes him finally fully accepting his love for gina but also just him finally accepting change and spending the whole season helping his friends and enjoying the musical for himself because he’s accepted himself as a theatre kid and him being fully dedicated to the musical. he showed so much growth from s1 and 2 imo. i also don’t mind love triangles as long as they’re well done and i think it was. i also don’t really count s1 as a love triangle. i do get why you wouldn’t care for it if you aren’t much of a love triangle person or a shipper in general

But as someone who isnt that big on the shipping (or rina) generell. Season 2 is way better. It has way better storylines imo. I like season 3, but it just got so annoying to see a love traingle for the 100 th time on this show. And it is probably 80% from the entire season. (Also i think it’s really spoiling how everyone here is „like season 3“ „you need to be strong until season 3“ she will probably guess what it is about (rina) so like…)

I'm so happy we're getting to learn more about Kourtney too, she's such a star. And don't even get me started on the Gina and Ricky scenes oh my goodness!!! Season 2 is VERY important for going into season 3!!!!

2023-01-27 00:21:42 +0000 UTCi think the reason people complain about season 2 without spoiling it or spoiling anything about it is mostly the second half because at least in my opinion they kind of lose the plot and it's like what the hell's going on for most of the storylines but i think the first half of the season is genuinely so well done and has amazing moments and even the second half has really good moments but i think season 3 is praised so much because it's kind of their comeback season after people ppl saying season 2 wasn't as good as season 1. but to be fair a lot of it was the fault of covid and i know there's quite a lot of people that didn't enjoy season 3 so it's really all about opinion
