I get youre point, but its still one of my favorite episodes. Seb and carlos are cute and the miss jenn (and her lovers) its just funny. When i first watched this i was actually fine with ej and gina. I like both characters, and they were both sad at this point, so i was like "why not?"

2023-02-07 22:32:33 +0000 UTCNot sure if you are aware but the rival school teacher is portrayed by Derek Hough, a pro ballroom dancer who was a pro on Dancing With The Stars and won it 6 times (the most of anyone ever) and now he has moved to being a judge for it. That's why he did the little dance at the coffee shop. They were making a not so subtle reference to his dancing background.

2023-02-07 21:01:55 +0000 UTCi completely understand your feelings about the portrayal of the quinceañero. i remember when the episode premiered i saw people having criticisms as well and of course, as you should, if you feel like it was inaccurate. i get why gina feels like she wants to leave. and obviously it’s not just because of ricky and her feelings for him. that’s only a small part but she also feels like she’s alone like she said last episode, she doesn’t have the part she wants, she feels like she can’t open up to anyone, her mother is so far away from her etc. there’s just so many things piling up. she just really needs to talk to someone and last season that person would’ve been ricky, but she can’t really do that anymore at least in the way she wants. the ricky and gina “fight” was interesting because i think it’s the first time this season ricky realizes there’s something wrong with her. like you can actually see him realize the moment he fucked up. and a lot of people when season two was premiering got on his case about asking her for advice all the time, but he’s only asked her once, and it was in this episode, and that was because she already gave it to him unprompted twice. every other time that she gave advice he was trying to say she doesn’t have to, but she insisted because she wants to prove that she’s ok even though she’s really not. you can’t blame him for not realizing that she wasn’t actually ok with it until this moment. understandable for her to put up boundaries and there’s nothing wrong with that either. it just sucks that they are in this situation because even if they weren’t going to be romantic, they could be friends but there’s no closure there and it hurts too much to be friends with him “just because they’re two people available” literally in my opinion it’s the epitome of ej and gina’s relationship 😭😭 like you said when i was watching the season i was like ok as long as gina is happy, then whatever but the entire time i was just like and where did their feelings for each other come from exactly? like ok gina falls for him because he’s nice and she’s in a vulnerable spot and so is he so maybe that’s why he falls into liking her even though i think his feelings are so random this episode like where did that come from they had a two second conversation 😭😭 honestly, ricky, pushing nini to be apart of the musical kind of rubbed me the wrong way because you want her to be part of it, but she keeps insisting that she’s fine with it. are you doing this for her sake or for yours?
