Exactly. Back when she first came out as gay. I remember growing up thinking she never came out and that everyone just knew about it from the start. I never learned until about 2019 that it caused headlines when she came out

i haven’t watched yet but i think the problem with spencer might be him suffering from “flanderization”. i didn’t know what the word meant until not that long ago so if u don’t know - flanderization is the process through which a single element of a character's personality, often an originally mild element, is inflated in importance over the course of work until it becomes their primary defining characteristic. i feel like eric from boy meets word in the later seasons and hopper from stranger things (during s3 only thankfully) are characters that i liked that suffered from the same thing.

idk what they did to Spencer but he's been kind of annoying in this reboot I use to love him so much in the original too bad. also reminds me of that Tic Toc the Spencer actor did about big booties latinas. It caught me off guard when I saw it on my feed
