Very little plot in that show besides growing the characters and a lot of it is realistic when they show the two main characters being unlikeable a lot and as viewers watching Gilmore you kinda have to remind yourself that hey this would be a realistic reaction that even if we disagree with we can still imagine someone saying that in real life and I really enjoy that about these shows from the late 90s-early 00s ❤️

I also bought the full series on dvd and they had the new theme song , very interesting you would figure they would keep the original on the DVDs

2023-06-01 15:49:20 +0000 UTCI'm actually surprised at how strong I find these two episodes. I listen to the Drama Queens podcast with the OTH girls and they keep mentioning about how shows right now tend to be about heightened reality with supernatural stuff or mystery, etc., and how OTH was simply about people and relationships and that worked well for the era. I feel even stronger about that regarding Dawson's Creek, these episodes are all about people being people, growing up and hanging out. And none of these kids are the most popular kids at school or even having sex, they are just regular kids. And it works, it's not boring at all. These type of shows are probably gone now that we live in the Streaming era and shows are given only 8 to 10 episodes per season and shows aren't allowed to find their footing anymore, they have to be successes from the get go. We really won't get an opportunity to have these kinds of shows anymore, that era is over.

2023-05-30 03:50:50 +0000 UTCI think the problem with the songs from Dawson's Creek was that this was one of the first shows put on DVD and before the youtube/Spotify era the music artists were less accessible and the music was more expensive. But I do like that other intro song as well.

2023-05-29 17:10:17 +0000 UTCI might be in the minority here but I do love both of the theme songs. Of course I don’t wanna wait is better, but I do love the one they had to replace it with too! Back years ago when I watched it on Netflix like 8 years ago they had switched the theme song halfway through the show for licensing reasons I heard.
