The idea Jane Widdop (the actor who plays LL) has regarding Laura Lee is that she was depressed at the begining and planned to die when she jumped in the pool. They believe that when she was told God saved her that she found a purpose to live in her faith which is why she was so fearless in her belief that she was meant to fly the plane, because God wanted her to live for a reason and her purpose was to save them all. It's also an interesting callback to the Pilot when the first thing we learn about Natalie is that she lost HER purpose when she came back to civilization and she's convinced she knows now how to get it back.

2023-09-13 19:17:05 +0000 UTCI love Jackie but the only things I hold against her so far is her slut shaming Nat and using Laura Lee's announcement to get Shauna's secret out. Not for Shauna though, but because it weighted into Laura Lee's choice. I do think everything that Shauna did was worse than Jackie and I also love her (in fact, Shauna is my fave).
