I kinda agree, Otis did not know the full content of the situation, By now we all know otis doesn't pay as much attention as we would like, but I'm not blaming him, he could have not controlled what happened, he was also dressed like eric. Eric did tell him not to catch that second bus and meet him at the station, which Otis who is a very literal person is gonna be like okay, see you after. It was a horrible situation, but I'm more mad at the world and the way people are towards queer people, than at Otis.

Also would like to add that for Eric it just seems that Otis is having commitment issues with their friendship since he is always busy with Maeve and the sex clinic. Otis needs to balance that friends come first especially your best friend since childhood so if anyone was being self absorbed it was Otis not Eric.

I just want to make a comment and say that I think that if Otis would’ve asked Eric what was going on he would’ve heard the whole story but instead accuses him of just being dramatic and needing the center of attention. We as the audience know why Eric is upset Otis has no clue. Otis should’ve picked up the signs when he saw Eric’s face. Eric had every right to be upset and Otis should’ve been more intuitive towards Eric’s feelings. I don’t think Otis is a bad person I like him I just think in that moment he was in the wrong had he asked eric I think that conversation would’ve ended differently. Plus this wasn’t some random day it was Eric’s bday so even more so. Anyways love your reactions and analysis’s
