Pacey trying to spare Dawson's feelings by keeping him out of the house is so sweet and completely unnecessary. I understand Joey's thought process in lying to him, but her reasoning for it came from fear of how he'd react bc of how he'd reacted to them being together. She knows he has some sort of weird entitlement to her virginity and is terrified of what he'll do if he finds out she slept with HER BOYFRIEND. Also, god, I hate Dawson so much but I really don't think he would have blown up if she just told him when he asked. He'd definitely be hurt bc he's a loser weirdo but he wouldn't have lashed out like he did before bc he has come to the acceptance phase with their relationship. But again, I understand her fear. It's just that I wish her fear of Dawson wasn't stronger than her love for Pacey sometimes. I have to laugh at Gretchen's annoyance bc while I do get it, girl you're a 21 year old woman in a relationship with a high schooler. You KNEW about the drama before getting involved in it. What did you expect?
