Wow such good details about the actors. Thank you 🙏 And yes as a mom of a kid with Asperger/Autism Ik how different it can be for every individual. My son does have a difficulty with eye contact and prefers not to look at you directly when you are talking to him bc all of our mannerisms really distracts him and it’s an overload for him. This I have watch it with a lot of other kids that I encounter during our 16 years of therapies BUT there are others who don’t have that at all and are able to maintain full on conversations with eye contact all the time. So yeah Ik everyone it’s different. I might not get Sara’s indicators of Asperger probably from the language barrier as well. But it’s so cool that we get representation in its various forms.

2023-11-30 18:05:57 +0000 UTCAhh one of my all-time favorite shows!! Here’s some info I want to give about a few of the actors: 1. Omar (who plays Simon) was actually born in Venezuela and moved to Sweden when he was six, so he does indeed speak Spanish and Swedish (and English as well). He’s also a singer and has many songs in all three of those languages. 2. Edvin (who plays Wilhelm) is a famous actor in Sweden and has been acting since he was six. I think the acting on this show in general is really good, but in my opinion Edvin in particular is just phenomenal. 3. Frida (who plays Sara) actually has Asperger’s in real life. From what I understand Asperger’s is considered a “milder” version of autism and a lot of people who have it don’t necessarily portray all the characteristics of autism (such as having difficulty with eye contact etc.) I think the main thing in Asperger’s is the difficulty to understand social cues and situations, although everyone that has it is obviously different. (I also know that Asperger’s is a retired diagnosis because of some controversies surrounding it, but since this show uses that word I thought I’d use it here as well.) I think that’s all for now (sorry for the long post haha). I’m really happy you’re doing this show and can’t wait to see the rest of your reactions!! (Also, if it’s not too difficult, please try to stick to the original language. This show does have one of the best dubbings I’ve seen since the actors did it themselves, but I still think it’s much better with the original Swedish.) Thank you for your great reactions!
