She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power 1x11 FULL REACTION

Shadow Weaver has always tried to put Adora and Catra against each other! But we know that they mean a lot to one another!

This episode was so beautiful! I can't wait for the next!

She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power 1x11 FULL REACTION

Comments

Great reaction! I love how this episode recontextualizes the first two episodes. And its not just that Adora broke the promise they made to always look out for each other, its that Shadow Weaver actually threatened to kill Catra if something were to happen to Adora...and then Adora goes out in the first episode and gets captured by Glimmer and Bow. Catra even wanted to go with her but Adora told Catra to stay behind. So from this perspective Adora left Catra at Shadow Weaver's mercy. And it gets worse: Catra actually specifically quotes the promise to Adora in the second episode: "It doesn't matter what they do to us, the two of us look out for each other." That is what Catra tells Adora in the second episode, and Adora....doesn't respond to it. Adora isn't at fault for leaving the Horde, but given the things we see in this episode, its understandable that Catra would be extremely upset by how it happened.

Omegastar

also the bond between adora and catra is truly beautiful despite how messy it is at times and they are the heart of the show, the story is litter lay about that bond, and the simulation was trying to divide them and you'll find out why soon,

Jojo

catra is such a complex character and she is well written, her trauma and how she responds to it is so real! she gets alot worse before she gets to get better but her storyline is one the best i have watched

Haifaa

Honestly, this entire show can be thought of as a deep deep exploration of two very different trauma responses and how it all plays out. Catra and Adora have such a complex relationship and I loved how it played out throughout the series. It’s very realistic and messy, and it only takes them 5 seasons to figure their shit out. So excited for you to see more of this show!
