2024-06-07 05:33:34 +0000 UTCI think that Daemon's plan was to "sully" Rhaenyra so that other lords would not want her and then she would be forced to marry him (so he could get the crown). However, while in the middle of kissing her, I think he changed his mind. He was watching her expression and saw that she was really into it which seemed to surprise him. I think he already cared about her as a family member but then seeing her matching him so well in her passion made him like her even more (in other ways) -- so then he felt guilty about his plan and stopped. Of course, some damage was already done but not enough to not allow her to deny it as she did.

2024-06-07 05:06:26 +0000 UTCThe way Rhaenyra lied so smoothly so many times to Alicent is interesting. "I wanted to go home" "Daemon didn't touch me" "I swear on my mother's grave." Overall, it is interesting the way the two are juxtaposed. For Alicent, sex is prison while for Rhaenyra it is a way that she asserts her freedom and liberation (which is a lesson that Daemon taught her with the marriage is just an arrangement - you can still do whatever you want - sex is pleasure for both men AND women speech.) I for sure think that Alicent sees this and is jealous of Rhaenyra's freedom - meanwhile she is forced to be with an old, deteriorating king and hold crying babies (that she never seems happy while holding).
