I think Jungkook decided to focus on singing over rap. J-Hope also stopped singing so much and focused on Rap. Both Hobi and Kookie were billed as singers AND rappers at debut, [Golden Maknae and Golden Hyung] but there are only so many parts in a song. It might also be that as they settled into their roles, Kookie got more nervous to rap in songs because you have 3 amazing rappers who write their verses. He may have felt self conscious about it and decided to focus on singing, since he's the main vocalist as well.
